These idiots will bash Etling to no end but will never acknowledge that his limitations limited Ensminger. Especially, when Ensmimger was forced to take over in the 5th game of the year and do what he could with the offense that was already installed by Cam Cameron and Les Miles.

Pretty sure he was talking about O forcing Etling upon Canada....nitwit

My mistake, I thought he said "the best."

I think "Top" position coaches and "elite" coordinators was used. I can see Top position coaches on the Binder tab. I cant see what was over the coordinators tab....

No offense to SE but... Last week I doubt any HC would consider SE as "Best O Coordinator". No one tried to hire him away. He has limited experience in the role.

So No

Dude he did that last year with Canada and it didn’t work. He actually said he knew he wanted all along.

All the complacency and accepting things just because will not change the downward trend. In fact, the blind loyalty will continue to harm Lsu.

Its not about a big name its about success. Steve hasnt been successfull on any level he's coached on. He's not up and coming. He's down and gone...smh

So the real difference is you are ok with things completely falling apart before stopping your complacency and blind loyalty. Others would prefer that not happen and are attempting to prevent it.

The 2 are not mutually exclusive.

O is now the coach, SE is the OC ... FACT

Neither was even remotely close to being the most qualified or best choice for their positions ... FACT

The process that took place for both individuals was unacceptable on any level of business ... FACT

The future outlook for the Lsu football program with those 2 in their positions is not as good as it should be ... FACT

As an OC? Who wanted him as an offensive coordinator? He’s a great coach and recruiter. A great Coordinator he has never been.

Coach O not at least searching outside of the program means this OC change was about his comfort level and not about improving the team. He doesn't have enough creditability as a HC to miss on this pick. The next change in the staff will likely be the HC at the end of next season.

If you spend the last 20 years as a TE coach you’re a TE coach. He spend 12 years between A&M and LSU not being a full time OC.

So no, he is not just coaching TEs at LSU because he loves LSU.

that's your opinion. mine is that ensminger brings some continuity to the offense. the players won't have to learn an entire new system for 2 years in a row. steve can transist to a passing attack much easier and may not have to change the nomenclature radically. our problem last year was not our system it was that Canada (for whatever reason) was very conservative in the passing game

And that's the gigantic problem with old people. Change is needed. We needed a complete overhaul in philosophy and strategy. We decided to keep pushing forward with the same bullcrap, just with a different group of people, and you guys don't care because you're comfortable. The "at least it's not the 90s" crowd, is suffocating the football program.

It's the same tavern with the same ole drinking buddies and nothing changes in the end. Move two doors down and you have the same old stories but the same tired drunks.

Or that our HC does not have the stones to actually put in effort and make a legitimate search, even after he promised the fans he would just so he could get hired. Although at the end of the day, the fault really should go to Joe Alleva for hiring O to begin with.
