I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that it's about 75% complete.
Some of these fans need a break. Maybe take a vacation, maybe get a little therapy.

quote:I agree, and it would be spot on with what I predicted as our record before the season started. I just don't see us going 3-3. I don't see us going 0-6 either. I think from what we have seen so far it is fair to assume that we could go 1-5 or 2-4. It is just an opinion, but a fair opinion given the play we have seen so far.
A four and four record in the SEC is hardly laudable, expecially when both Vandy and MSU are on your schedule. Going four and four would mean that your record against competent SEC foes was 2-4! I think 9-3 (5-3) is a reasonable baseline for guaging Miles's performance. In order to post such a record, he merely needs to go 3-3 in the six games you posted. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a .500 record against the middle and upper echelons of the SEC.
I totally agree that Miles should not have to look over his shoulder while he is 4-0, but I am still worried about the future because I am seeing repeated patterns left over from last year.

In reality, I doubt many fans truly want Miles fired. They are just getting wary of his abilities to coach a big time program based on what we are seeing on the field.
I totally support Coach Miles, I just have much less confidence in him than I did two years ago.

Its not about loyalty, its about pissing away talent. The longer the deteration continues the futher we will go back to the years between 1958 and 2003. No one wants to go through the rebuilding process. Does it happen? Sure, Every program is going to struggle but watching it flounder is to hard for many to watch.
I don't even know what you are trying to say but I am sure that I disagree with it.

I'll never understand this. The cameras show Miles 3 or 4 times a game. That and how do any of you know what he's thinking? Are you in his head? Like I said, alot of you people like to play Miss Cleo and 99% of the time, you're not even close.
Exactly my point... YOU HAVE NO CLUE! You can't tell what is going on. I know that ever player that has screwed up to the point of costing us a game gets no more than an arm around the shoulder and a pat on the but. I want him to show some emotion, inspire the team, motivate, DO SOMETHING. What really makes me explode is preseason he said that this team was the most dynamic and talented team he had ever coached. Hmmm..... really looks like it on the field. Boy I am impressed.

Maybe you'd be better off watching the WWE instead if all you want is a show from the coach/manager ala Bobby Heenan. Personally, I watch the football game on the field, instead of trying to figure out the psychological state of mind that head coach is in all game long...

quote:maybe I should have said, "not having a winning record in the SEC is bad". But winning two of those games, plus beating LaTech and Tulane gets us to 8-4. He will still catch heat for that, unless the team showed marked improvement as the season progressed.
Miles has to win two of these six games:
Oct 03 Georgia
Oct 10 Florida
Oct 24 Auburn
Nov 07 Alabama
Nov 21 Ole Miss
Nov 28 Arkansas
winning three of those games would be amazing at this point, and get us to 9-3 (5-3 in the SEC)...that would be great.

If the miracle does happen and we beat the Dawgs and the Crocs, this thread will be found and every single one of these idiots shall be named and called out as The Ultimate Catastrophics.
The Rant needs to be shut down for a few days just like during games. This shite is ridiculous.

If we finish 9-3 and top 15 I think most fans will be satisfied with that.

When you reach the point that its obvious that the wheels have come off or getting damn close it is Less's job to take over and to make changes to ensure that the ship is righted. I have not seen anything in any of his press releases, interviews, etc that gives me any confidence that he know how to fix this. I always said that I would give him the benefit of the doubt but this is beyond doubt. He can still fix this there is still time, but it has to be quick and decisive.

Oct 03 Georgia

Oct 10 Florida

Oct 24 Auburn

Nov 07 Alabama

Nov 21 Ole Miss

Nov 28 Arkansas
If the Tigers defense can get some of what the Saints defense drank this week then anything is possible.
With a better defense and better play calling on 2nd and 3rd and short. LSU keeps the defense off the field longer to rest.
This team is only lacking motivation, they have the talent and they need to get fired up.
Maybe we can get a collection together to get Dick Butkus to give them a rallying speech....

Its not just this site, go to Dandy Don and see what all of his emails said about LSU. Hell look at what Dandy Don said himself. If he is pissed then you know things have gone wrong.

Clearly has posted the most consistently level-headed posts in this thread. Thanks and keep up the good fight.

I am wary that Miles will lose this team again and have seen nothing, so far to give me any indication otherwise.
I would say that I have seen nothing (this year) to indicate he will lose this team, but I was VERY disapointed with the (aleged) infighting and squabling on the 2008 squad. It was soooo drastically different from the reports from 2007 (but I guess winning/losing has a way of hiding/highliting those types of things).

The BOSs speaks the truth!
9-3 would be a very good year for this team. I believed this over the summer and I believe it now. Would prolly be another top 20 with a Chicken bowl (or equivalent).
