I am the mother of a young man that was beaten severely Sat night after the football game, LSU/WVU. He, his five mth pregnant wife and two customers were assaulted after the game for no apparent reason. A rock flew into their car. Then someone came to their car and starting beating my son in the face. Three guys pulled him from the car and beat him. He is now in the hospital waiting for swelling to go down so they do surgery. The bones under his eye are crushed, his nose will be rebuilt and the fractured frontal bone will have to heal on it's own. He wife, five months pregnant, was slammed to the ground. The two men with them had visible signs of having been in a fight and torn clothes but didn't have to have medical attention. It's quite a shame that there are people like that are loose on the streets. I pray that they are caught and punished accordingly.

LSU's page is run by LSU public affairs department. Only staff from the dept can START threads from their official account.

Please delete this thread becuase the incident did occur. I grew up in Natchez where the alleged victim is said to be from. I do not know him, but my girlfriend knows his sister. Once I saw a reference to FB, I searched for him on there. We have several mutual friends. And many of them had expressed well wishes to him. I have contacted several since last night that confirm that he and his family were assaulted at the game (but the details of the assault are likely all hearsay).
As I looked through pictures, I noticed that he works for the same company as I do. I looked him up in our system, and he works in our Pittsburgh office. I called there they said that he wouldn't be back in the office for a few days. When I asked if he was out for medical reason, I was told that they couldn't provide that information. I asked enough questions to be able to read between the lines. At the end, the receptionist took my information and was going to give it to his manager and his wife.
As I looked through pictures, I noticed that he works for the same company as I do. I looked him up in our system, and he works in our Pittsburgh office. The WVU PD website currently only has incident summaries posted through the 23rd. I assume something will show up there when the 24th is posted.

police reports dont come out for like 7 days, and thats if the cop turns in the paperwork on that day. They also have 7 days to do so. So it can take up to 14 days to get a police report.

A post saying that the University Police confirmed it, doesn't actually mean they have. If someone fabricated the story why not go the last two steps and say the police are confirming it? Come on, most people these days don't do any real investigations, they take what they're told and agree with it.

Not saying it isn't true, because there are plenty of idiots out there who do this type of thing, but the West Virginia University hospital actually is a very respected hospital. If the injuries were very serious there would be no need to drive over an hour to Pittsburgh. Life flighting to Pittsburgh would be a much better idea.
I hope this isn't true -- hate seeing things like this ruin a good event.
