Two of those games were at less than full strength to two damn good football teams

Two of those games pointed out that the LSU defensive coordinator should have been fired. That or something was terribly wrong with the defense. 37 points to MS St and 24 to Troy.

Never should have happened.

I'm sure the first play against Troy being a fumble on the edge of the redzone had nothing to do with anything. And the offense not sustaining any drives (35-25 time of possession, pathetic). 4 fricking turnovers.

Yea, let's blame the defense.

New QB and new RB with a tough schedule. Wouldn't say we are poised to make a run

The O-line will make it a lot easier for the new QB and RB. The D-line will make it a lot tougher for opposing teams. The new WR - Giles will be better than any of the WR's from this past season.

Not saying they make a run but LSU should be a better team next year. The 30 something freshmen who played this season will not be freshmen next year.

I thought LSU lost two games early. They only lost to Troy? Seems MS St hung 37 on LSU in an LSU loss. I may be mistaken.

#12 with 4 great players leaning to LSU

Fun fact...miles averaged #7 nationally and #3 in the SEC in recruiting during his tenure

We have a good chance to win 10 games and the season isn’t over is my point.

To be fair until we trot out a quarterback that looks credible it's going to be hard for any prognosticators to say we are in the running. I'm not saying we won't have one. But we don't have one that's proven

I realize some other teams overcome this problem with prognosticators but our history kind of speaks for itself on this subject

I figured I already did such a good job making you look like an idiot I didn't even need to bother with the other game.

Against State, 3-134 (I should edit this to 13, but it felt like 134, so I'll leave it) on 3rd downs and lost the TOP battle 36-24. Yea, blame the defense for getting gassed again.

Link? That is a fricking lie or you are just a fricking idiot...usually the RB coach decides what RB is in the game or the OC

We had a pretty meh team this year and took advantage of a historically weak SEC

Better than the alternative. Sucks that LSU won all those games. And everyone of them was by 2 points or less. Talk about lucky.

The others have righted the ships with some really good hires.

People said this when A&M hired Sumlin who had gone 13-1 at Houston before moving to College Station. The original Tom Herman but unlike Tom, he had gone 13-1 in his final season at Houston.

They also said it when the 3-time defending Big 10 championship coach took over at Arkansas.

If State can hold it together after Mullen left we may be playing at Aggie with a 5-6 record

Good luck with your abundant amount of pessimism.

So, no we arent making a playoff run.

I don't even understand the point of all the whining in this thread

We probably shouldn't be on the list. That said it wouldn't be Earth shattering if we made the playoffs

Bottom line. Right now LSU is it to team that you could say it is laughable that they might make it but they also aren't a team that has good betting odds either.
