You act like this isn’t true for almost every NCAA coach. Talk about seeing things in a vacuum.

rgeron should be evaluated based on the direction of the program and the likelihood of success moving forward. If we go 9-3 next year but we are seeing the QB situation get ironed out and recruiting situation return to the top, all signs would indicate success moving forward. It's hilarious to evaluate things solely on the win loss record during a single season.

First, it would be based on two full seasons, not one.
Second, your evaluation criteria are completely subjective and not based on any tangible results.

You really sound like you’re looking for any reason you can find to prop up Orgeron no matter what he does.

His getting the job was predicated and sold on continuity, not some “rebuild” or “as long as it feels like he’s getting the team on the right track” standard that’s impossible to define.

Miles set our program back

What bullshite

The roster isn't picture perfect but most teams aren't, everyone has a hole somewhere. LSU made a coaching change while LSU still had a ridiculously talent program and the top Defensive coordinator on staff.

I am sorry but what O walked into was a DREAM scenario for every first year coach

So what happened in 2015? Were we elite and our coach did a horrible job losing 3 straight or was it fools gold and the easy schedule made us look better than we really were? We definitely weren’t an impressive 8-0. Florida wasn’t that good they benefitted from playing in the weak sec east.

The program hasn’t been elite since your hero embarrassed the program on 1-9-12.
I wouldn't call losing a national championship embarrassing the program.

Huh? You are expecting a 10 win season. I assumed you were looking at the record in a vacuum because only an absolute idiot would EXPECT next year's LSU team to end up 10-2. Hope? Sure. Think it's possible? Absolutely. Expect? Dumb. Oregon could do every single thing right and possibly not end up with 10 wins next year.

It's almost like you can't just stick any coach at LSU and win 10 games. Weird.

Not surprising. We'll have a new unproven QB, WRs and RBs.

Who do yo blame for LSU not being ranked in the top 10 since 2011? Orgeron? Saban? Trump? Obama? Alleva?

Now tell me how relevant we’ve been since 2012 other than being ranked in the first ever playoff poll (then losing 3 straight sec games)

During all of those seasons we were more relevant than we were after September this year.

The difference was this year, we knocked ourselves out by the end of September before we went through conference play

And what did that get us? #12,14,17, and not ranked...why are you complaining O will finish his first year ranked between 12-20

“ the team “ looked different””

The O gained less yds. Per game and scored fewer pts. per game than we did in 2015.

Also, for the 1st 5 games, that different look wasn’t anything to write home bout.

Who knows what next yr holds for LSU, but I have seen nothing which would lead me to believe we are playoff bound or close to it.

I think the bottom line is we are all happy with the turnaround when the season could have went much more south but I still need to see way more before I feel safe or confident about where this program is headed. This years schedule wasn't the best barometer to use

Next year the defense will be stacked, return a nice offensive line. Questions at the skill positions but we need to improve off what we did year one

What championship do they award for being ranked in the top 10?

It's an arbitrary cutoff. If you lose early, removing yourself from any playoff consideration as we did this year, and you win late, yeah you'll probably be ranked higher at the end of the year. That's just the way it is. You lose later, you'll be ranked lower. But at the end of the year 10th means about as much as 17th, or 25th for that matter, absolutely nothing.

Because it was the worst SEC of this millennium.

Doesn't matter what happens this game. No one takes us seriously anymore.

That's what losing to Troy does to a program.
