LSU didn’t have the #1 player when the past Championships were won.

It ain’t the end of the world.

Edit: Granted it is disappointing.

It’s more the timing and the optics. We all knew the ship was sinking, but now even the violinists are jumping overboard

Everyone is up in their feelings right now and that's fine. It's a shitty time for the program.

But in this century, when has LSU not come back from hard times? All this "we're now Kentucky" nonsense is kind of pathetic. Don't get me wrong--losing the number one player so close to signing day at a time when the program is down SUCKS.

But LSU will be back. They always come back.

I agree. We don’t need a 10 million dollar 18 year old to be a QB. There are plenty of good ones out there.

Let's face it. We need help on defense and both lines more than we need a qb. I say all that knowing that nuss is back there.

You’re right. There are a lot of “good ones” still out there. Problem is the “great ones” are going to cost that much going forward. Sure you can go out on a wing and a prayer and hope you find a diamond in the rough however, those are few and far between. Nowadays you need a great qb to win.

You're right, but we had outstanding Asst Coaching and recruiters that made up for the Bozo HC's. The current Bozo has neither.

Not really. We have overperformed our historical norms this century and are gradually trending back to the mean.

In this new money era there is real concern about how we will compete with much wealthier schools.

It's disgusting you can invest so much into one guy to leave you last second, because someone comes in a ton of money.

This is awful. LSU promoted a coach just to appeae this guy.

So we just haven't been as good as we've appeared the last 25 years?

Nuss returns that is worse than losing Underwood. You can not create an athlete from a guy like Nuss.

Well, I guess we should brace ourselves for hellish season next year. Because Underwood ain’t coming and Nuss most certainly is…especially now
