If the kid wants to come here and compete with Brennan, I am fine with it. Iron Sharpens Iron is the way I see it.

Wouldn't he have to wait till fall camp to join the team?

Didn't Burrow state that was one of the main issues with his performance in 2018? A lack of time to get with his receivers, learn the concepts, etc?

That concerns me more than anything.

3 of the 4 QBs in the playoff were transfers this year

The last 3 heisman winners were transfers

But yea, let’s ignore that

He's proved that ability more so than any QB on our roster, fwiw.

How do you know this? Have you seen Brennan at practice?

It's crazy but the No. 1 QB in the draft will be a transfer three years in a row too.

Right. For some reason there’s still a negative connotation attached to ‘transfer’.

I don't give a shite if we get players from the moon as long as they can play and if fans don't trust Orgeron with the roster by now, frick em.

I’m just curious, have you watched king play?

I watched his game against Tulane, and a good majority of two other games, and his ability as a passing QB is marginal at best.

He ran a basic one, sometimes two read system that high schools run, and looked below average as a passer who greatly benefitted from great play calls and easy throws... in my opinion, he would not do well in the offense that we ran this year

I know you and some others are trying to bait people into admitting that they don’t want him just because he’s a minority, but that’s not the case at all, at least from my perspective

Just getting around to seeing your reply. The source was wrong. He only had 663yd 6td and 2int in the 4 games he played in 2019. Those were his 2018 season stats.

If he can’t process the game (realize there is only 1 joe Burrow) need not apply. You have to be cerebral as a QB these days, a pure athlete is just a commodity.

I’m sure you’d be saying this if his name wasn’t D’Eriq.

Kyle Trask is a better QB than King.
