I don't care that those two "talked trash" at least they had a little fire lit under their butts unlike the rest of the freaking team.

Then you, sir, are a douche. You have no concept of the reality of football. And it shows, believe me.

I suppose you get angry when a boxer or MMA fighter talks shite before and after a match. Might hurt the other guys feelings.

While I think it silly to talk trash while being dominated, I'm not gonna be a mawmaw about it. Grow up.

Becasue snowman came off as being a real a-hole. That, and the fact that if the player wants to keep talking trash even after the team is being dominated, then however silly I think it is, it is the player's prerogative. Whatever he needs to do to motivate himself.

If I were a UF player I would laughed my arse off at any trash talking coming from LSU. Its like our players are too dumb to know they look stupid.

Not only UF, but pretty much the national joke today. First RJF then trash talking when you are down by 30. These players are not representing themselves, they are reping the U.

And you could actually hear them trash talking? Much to do about nothing. Whatever gets your motor running is fine with me. I wish we would have had 10 more Harry Colemans out there!

The trash talk was a pretty embarassing addition to getting our asses handed to us. I thought it was as stupid as RJF's smack talk. We seem to lack discipline.

I'm with you SNOWMAN, I read this sight every night and post very seldom, but true atheletes act like true atheletes, and you don't pump up your team with tackle 8 yards down field on a basic running play. Les will address this, I hope, because winners portray a winning attitude.

well in defense of harry coleman who is a member of the starting defense......i know him personally since he was in the 6th grade and in the first half he made harvin his little bitch on 2 pass plays.....and then ripped tebow's head off on another play.....he did taunt tebow right in his face after he knocked his jock off afterwards but let me tell u....harry is a str8 buffalo soldier from the 50's, turn back the clock style.....bottom line he backs up his talk....if you dont believe me then ask him yourself.....

its just too bad more of his teammates dont get on his bandwagon....

Nothing wrong with letting the other team know who you are no matter what the score is.

I guarantee you Harvin or Tebow will want to know where 24 and 93 are before every play if we meet again.

lsuryan...go find harry and tell him what ur saying on here and insult him with this miami bullshite and see if he likes it....

all you people that get on here and bash lsu for trying to play intense......talking is a part of the game.......football is a violent sport and has no room for pussies like u people who try to cry about the lsu defense trash talking...its people like those on here who weaken the game.......

bottom line if u wanna rip any player....first have the balls to approach them yourself.....i didnt think so....

I didn't like that shite either.
These days if you don't showboat, yuo can't go home to the family with your head up.
Things have changed from where it used to be.

a little showboating and trash-talking is great when you make a big play, but i agree with the premise that when you're getting your butt beat on nat'l tv and the guy gains another 8-10 yds, shut your pie-hole and get thru the game respectfully. trash-talking while down by 30 is utterly ridiculous.

Playing with intensity is great. Showing emotion when you make a great play can help spread the emotion to the rest of the team. I hate the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for minor celebrations.

However, a coach said when you get to the endzone, act like you been there before. Taking this further, don't celebrate the common play. The four yard run, the short screen completion doesn't need to be celebrated.

And when you are getting beaten down one has very little reason to talk trash.

There is a huge difference between talking trash and playing with fire or intensity.

Playing with fire, emotion, intensity, and confidence are all good things. Knocking another team off their game by trash talking also is good.

But if a team thinks that stopping someone after an eight yard gain is worthy of talking trash, that team needs to reset its barometer of what a good play is.

Sorry, thats just embarassing that we have players talking trash on a mediocre hit that results in a 10 yard gain and a first down.

We just won the NC and you are going to trash talk down 2 or 3 touchdowns after giving up 10 yards? That sounds like something a Hallman team would do. They got their asses kicked so much the only time they could trash talk was when they made a hit down by less than 30.

It doesn't matter whether you ever played organized football or not, that is just totally lame.
