re: Who is LSU's #1 hated rival?

Posted by tigerman18 on 9/22/11 at 9:37 am to
I'm 21 years old.. While I hate Auburn with a passion, Arkansas gets my vote. It makes sense for them to be our most hated rival. What doesn't make sense to me is how some LSU fans don't view them as a rival at all. This is mostly because it's considered a "new" rivalry but if Arky can stay as competitive as they've been, 10-15 years from now I think LSU-Ark will be one of the bigger rivalries in the country
a friend of mine who is on the team says that they will be wearing all white...helmets jerseys pants

i copied and pasted so it looks clusterfricked but with the exception of one game in the last 10 years, looking at the scores and the way we have sweated most of these games out, what leads you to believe that a school from our neighboring state which plays us extremely close every year or beats us is not a major rival.

for the record im 21
I think Shep was a little hesitant at receiver last year. I think he'll be better this year well hopefully. As far as the return game, I think he would be better suited as a PR than a KR...just me though
I agree somewhat with this. I would like to see two maybe three quality series scheduled in the pre-sec schedule with at least one of them being on the road. The pre-sec schedule was horrible this year. I think more quality opponents would do wonders.

Also I don't think many remember exactly how terribly CSF played in that series. Yes we swept them and yes they are a good team, but we definetly didn't get them even close to their best.

Has it ever been brought up....

To do separate boards for the big 3 sports...such as football, baseball, basketball being separate from one another?

I think it would be nice especially around this time of year so I don't have to continue seeing the will RS play this year or lets fire TJ threads when I want to read about a little baseball.

Hanover Rhymes Jones Mahtook Nola Katz Ross Dozar Lowery/Edward

I like this except switch katz with lowery/edward and mahtook with jones.

i grew up playing ball against Dozar. Always was a player it would be great to see him getting some regular pt
could be because he realizes he has an extrememly young team and pitching staff and also realizes that this is baseball, which is a game that not too many people fully understand, and there is a whole lot of ball to be played. this team will peak at the right time. i'm not sure we'll make it far into the post season because this team just doesn't have what it takes. It does not have a deep bullpen and there are a few holes in the lineup. but you can book your trips to omaha for the next two years

I see no reason why a graduate or student of another school can't be a fan of LSU. I grew up a die hard LSU fan but lived in Thibodaux, LA all my life. Financially and because of the location it makes sense for me to attend Nicholls. Do I wish more than anything that I could be at LSU? Yes. But it just isn't possible. I support Nicholls' athletics and sometimes attend, but in the three years i've been at Nicholls I haven't missed an LSU home football game and hold season tickets to LSU baseball.

The name of the institution that is on the piece of paper I receive when I graduate shouldn't determine who I grew up pulling for, pull for, and will always pull for.

Sure is good to see Chase Clement, big E's nephew (Renee's son) performing at a high level. Don't know if anyone has seen Chase in person but he too is a very big man.
it would be awsome if the time changed a week earlier...time changes that night but hey at least we get in an extra hour at the bar after the game haha
unless cam newton starts throwing 25 times a game and making some impressive passes he isnt going anywhere after this year
almost looks like he's saying to call a timeout without getting noticed by the other coaches
i heard from a very good source that the play that was called didnt go with the formation, so all the players were confused and out of wack.

what i cant understand is how you have a reciever who is 6 5 and has the potential to be a great wr and you cant tell the quarterback to drop back 5 steps and just throw it down the sideline every now and then....qb puts it close and i'll say tolliver catches it half the time.

are you really gnorthern????

What miles is saying....

On quarterback Jordan Jefferson:

"I have had quarterbacks not nearly as talented as either one of these two guys. ... It's an offensive issue. It's one that we need to make sure we correct collectively. ... I've had quarterback's that have not played well ... but they seemed to get better and I suspect this will happen again."

On if Jefferson will start:

"Yeah."

Is he trying to say that the problem isn't the guy who's playing quarterback, it actually has plenty to do with the offensive coaching. If so then I completely agree. I think it doesn't matter who's under center the offense will still struggle because of the playcalling
