I cannot wait for this kid to enroll in wherever he is going.

Why? Then everyone is just going to speculate about the possibility of him playing at whatever FCS for a season and then returning to LSU to finish his college career

Red, the tone of this article suggests that the door is open (albeit barely) for a return to LSU in 2013, but that the decision will likely be transfer and go pro.

Do you still believe the "decision" will be to sit out and work his way back to LSU?

but did he not go on TV yesterday stating Tyrann HIMSELF had ZERO interest in sitting out to return to LSU.

Did he not do this? I can probably throw it up on youtube if needed..

Now in his article he is saying Tyrann expressed his interest to return.

He lied. Straight up.

I don't think he lied so much as he reported what he thought was a credible source. Without knowing if this is the same source that gave him this information, no way to tell if this is legit. Unfortunately we will just have to wait.

Got it. So Kleinpeter is just posting a rumor.

you guys are really incredible....you just will not step outside the box and think. This guy is a solid LSU reporter and has stuck by his story all the way through for a reason. You guys just refuse to believe, and attempted to, hell did in fact, belittled me.

This is true however obviously these guys are feeling the pressure to run with anything they hear. It is very frustrating to see so much contridiction in print.

Yep

And their respective media outlets want hits

What better way than to mislead the public

Sounds like his source wants a cut of Tyrann's signing bonus sooner rather than later. First he has no interest in sitting out, now Miles is telling him to move on (curious that the words 'must move on' aren't used).

Miles most likely said 'it would be good for your career if you move on.'

I guess everyone should have taken it for the bible truth when he reported that Gausman was returning for his senior season also no?

says TM wanted to return, after sitting out, against the advice of his family???

Red has said all along that the family was creating issues with the TM-LSU discussions and weren't helping matters.

I'll bet Miles hopes that Mathieu leaves and the sooner the better. We have a football game in a few weeks, Mathieu is not a player. We don't need the distraction.
Mathieu you had your opportunities. Don't let the door hit you.

I think it is obvious that behind the scenes Miles gave TM7 every chance he could....and he is pissed and is standing his ground.

Tough, but fair, and I think he is doing the right thing.

Because every thing you said was opinion and you tried to post it as inside source type fact. You lied. You back tracked today and are now going with a much broader opinion on the matter. You are running with this story because it supports your opinion. All I am saying is that I'm not trusting someone that said yesterday that Mathieu told him personally he had zero interest in returning to LSU. If/when Mathieu doesn't I will be okay with figuring it out then.

So, that confirms that TM is not permanently ineligible at LSU. He may have a lot of hurdles to return to LSU, but he most definitely is not "permanently ineligible."

Thank God that was finally put to bed.

I thought you actually got what was going on earlier, when dmag summarized it so well......it's pretty easy to read between the lines here....he hit it perfectly concerning whose side I was referring to, and red's as well. Doesn't this make sense now as of what we were talking about?

Yeah, I think Tyrann has some sketchy arse hanger-ons around him. Needs to ditch those mo'fos immediately.

TM is definitely mulling his decision over and over again.
He hasn't tweeted in three days, which is a world record for him.

He said Tyrann personally said he had no interest just yesterday on ESPNU's College Football Live.

Sorry for calling out Mr. Respected but he shows far too much opinion and now his reporting is flat our a lie one way or the other.

Or Tyrann actually told him that so thats what he reported.

He said straight up Tyrann himself said he had no interest in a return to LSU. He said it as absolute fact just yesterday on the phone interview.

I don't have a problem with the guy except I thought it was inaccurate when I heard it yesterday and this completely confirms it.

This:

quote:

LSU Coach Les Miles advised former Tiger cornerback Tyrann Mathieu to move on with his career rather than try to return to the team in 2013

Contradicts this:

quote:

Miles confirmed that the meeting took place but declined to comment on the purpose or other details.
