there are many fails with this decision including lack of rational thought.

LSU is an institution of education first. This should have been run by the business school. they make a little money and the students get something for their tuition.

I just can't believe this douchebag is the AD. Surely he must have sexually harassed someone while he was here on the job. Can someone, anyone please come forward and spill the beans on him. The amount of harm this guy has caused the LSU Football program and game day experience will takes years and years to fix. It is like someone who secretly hates LSU is our AD.

STOP trying to ruin tailgating joe....go back to duke
Instead just improve the stadium food experience....the service is too slow and the food is cold and terrible...no wonder I eat and drink before I go into the stadium now
If you buy anything in the stadium you end up missing half the game
JOE PLEASE if you can't afford to buy flat screen tv's for the stadium can I bring my own...these old box tv's are embarrassing....

If they ever force us to pay for some BS package like this, that will be the end of our tailgate party. Which also means my arse will be watching games from home.

Forced institutionalization and commercialization of tailgating will be the end of our unique campus atmosphere on game day.

Eventually, you will have to rent a tent and all your tailgating equipment from Joe. No more bringing your own

When fans attending the game is at an all time low, what you need to do is lower barriers to go to the games not create more. The problem is my tailgate crew has disbanded and will never get back together. Now we all get together at someone’s house and watch the game. Improving game day experience and lowering barriers to entry are the only way for LSU to stop the slide. The long term effect of the parking fees are more than most anticipated, and if you start taking people’s tailgating spots it’s only going to Exacerbate the situation

My favorite part is the “bellhop service” like we aren’t in the middle of the south where most people pride themselves on being hardworking and getting their hands dirty and helping each other out. What kind of retarded arse poorly thought out bullshite is that? Maybe that flies at UCLA but I have some great memories just from setting up tailgates tbh

Already beat you to it. I miss the older TS experience of the 70's and even 80's, but I do not miss what's there now.

For those of us that studied there and later taught there, the Saturday experience has lost most of its college flavor.

These days the recliners with a big screen in an air conditioned room, with better food and cleaner restrooms are too much to turn down.

Gotta agree with everyone here. Just another nail in the coffin of what was once one of the best tailgating experiences in the country. Sad. It's been one thing after another and it sure feels like this is another big step down the hole. Anybody last year remember Joe trying to charge $50 buck to park in the hayfield?!

This and now that I'm in my 40s and my back is going on 80, I can't take sitting on those bench seats. Last time I sat on one, I barely made it back to the car.

...The food at the tailgates must be purchased from our approved vendors. Ingredients can be purchased cooked or uncooked.

There is a poll at the link in the OP.
