I know many people follow ESPN's bracketology but there are a lot more out there than just that one. This site records averages of 108 different bracketologies.

32 of the 108 have updated since LSU's win over Kentucky. In those brackets LSU is seeded as follows:

2 seed - 1
3 seed - 11
4 seed - 18
5 seed - 1
6 seed - 1

LSU is probably right now sitting as the top team in the 4 seed line and moving ever closer to the 3 seed line.

Here are some teams just ahead of us and behind us that we should start rooting against:

Just Ahead of LSU
Wisconsin
Louisville
Nevada
Marquette
Purdue
Houston
Kansas

Just Behind LSU
Iowa St
Texas Tech
Villanova
Kansas St
Virginia Tech
Maryland
Iowa
Florida St

It's fun to be worrying about seeding rather than if we will make the tournament.

This has been such a special basketball season. Great to have lucky breaks go our way. Last year we had at least 2 one point losses at home and other close losses, but this year we our getting the close victories. Undefeated in the league on the road so far is so hard to do.

Yea most of those schedules don't look that bad. But hey its always tough to win on the road and some of those games are road games obviously.

But honestly LSU's is easier than the other big conference teams

LSU - Gerogia, Florida, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida, Vanderbilt Avg Rank 68

Shouldn’t we want Houston to continue to win, since it was a close loss in the road vs quad 1??
I think we finish 15-3 in conference and that should be good for 3-4 seed

I'm gonna go ahead and say no to this. If we beat them, then maybe but it won't be considered a bad loss either way. I'd love to pass them up on the seeding list. Though to be honest, they could win out and LSU could still pass them due to the strength of schedule differences.

Man... just looking at our remaining schedule we should beat everyone left outside of Tennessee. @Bama and @UF though are always tough for us.

Truly we just aced the tough part of the schedule. Now as long as you dont lose a game we shouldn't lose we are in great shape. If LSU can beat UTenn then we start looking higher than the teams I posted...

1 seeds:
Duke
Virginia
Tenn
Gonzaga

2 seeds:
Michigan
Kentucky
Michigan St
UNC

Of those I could see us passing UK, Tenn, Mich St, and maybe UNC if they struggle to the finish line but still, getting to the 2 line seems like we would need a lot of help. The three line is 100% attainable if we aren't there already.

Not a lot of difference in 2 or 3. Just prefer no 4 or 5.

Exactly. I think LSU can pretty easily get to the 3 line and avoid a 1 seed till the elite 8.

I'm ok with LSU playing a #1 in the Sweet 16 because it would give Wade ample time to prepare vs. just one day if you met the 1 in the Elite 8. Wade is very good when he has time to really prepare for an opponent.

That said, being a 4-5 seed makes you more susceptible to the first round upset. Generally, when you get those 12-13 seeds you're playing the best of the mid-major teams.

That's a really good point. Though I'm okay with giving someone else another chance to knock off a 1 seed to lighten our road.

I think at the end of the day I like the prestige of the highest seed we can get and we will figure out the schedule from there.

I hated it when we couldn’t control our own destiny towards the end of the season, and had to rely on other teams losing!
I remember watching other SEC games cheering for certain teams to lose. That’s no way to enjoy basketball.
