And pretty quickly, we have a good Texas team coming in next weekend and SEC will start before you know it. This weekend is not encouraging at all. But I’m in as always

It is what it is this year. They may not even finish with a winning record. Baseball recruiting sucks

Walker's absence is glaring. You gotta think Hess and Gilbert will bounce back.
Bats need to get going to support pitching staff, and put pressure on opposing team. No doubt, much to do. We'll see what this team is made of over the next few series. GT!

I need to see more than one outing from Hess and Gilbert before I get all doom and gloom. Hopefully Feduccia is ready to go next weekend and improves that spot.

Gilbert you have to assume will be fine. Hess I don’t think so as a starter. He’s never shown he has it against great competition to start

Hess is just not a starter. Elite closer, mediocre mid week level starter.

Exactly Hess is not a starter. Gilbert is a good starter and I have confidence in him, but he is basically our Ace this year. That’s not very encouraging to say the least.

There was nothing promising about either of their starts except Hess hit 96 on one of his fastballs in the first inning.

I'll say this to all LSU baseball fans, Gilbert and Hess may disappoint this year. But if you think they'll be as bad as they were this weekend all year then you're an idiot.

Starters didnt look great. Bullpen looks fine outside of today.

Bats need to step it up just as much imo.

No need to jump up and down calling people that disagree with you names. At this point, I would say it's probably
mental with Gilbert and Hess. The talent is there, but sometimes that can be the hardest to overcome. Let's see if they can improve next week. Then we can start deciding on who to call idiots.
