If I was a betting man, I would be very happy to take the opposite side of each of those bets. We will be lucky to be 9-9 in SEC play. NCAA tournament will be out of reach except for Kentucky and maybe 2 more SEC teams. I could be surprised, but feel the SEC will be weak again this year.

The team will be fun to watch and even more fun to root for...but we still play terrible defense and it will cost us games

Football is not even done and the Basketball SP'ing MA's are warming up.
Warming up with a little Wacky Tabacky and/or "Smokin Rope." (Like Condon says)
No chance Johnny Jones makes the NCAA's. Prediction: The PMAC will be empty like a tomb all season. People have already had enough and will make a statement by not going to games. Losing will make that very easy.................

I would be surprised if this team is better than 6-12 in the league. Actually, I don't think they will win 6 SEC games.

More than a little early in the season to be making predictions but we have more talent than most people think. How well that talent plays together and especially on defense will determine the wins and losses.
So many things can influence a season. Injuries for example. We had three people out tonight, another who didn't play much for that reason and at the end of the game our best player, Blakeney limped off the court.
Can our bigs do a better job of staying out of foul trouble? How quickly will the freshmen adjust to the college game? Will our three point shooting be good and bail us out when we need it?

They're gonna be hard-pressed to win 5 SEC games this year.

I'll take the under on 5.

Lmao.
It sucks when you have to play an actual college team. All hopes have been crushed on national television.
I thought Blakenely would be able to carry us through a rough year but I may have been wrong. He just isn't that good of a shooter . He may try and elevate too much or something .

I was surprised today at how bad they actually are.
Posted on 11/23/16 at 1:29 pm to Cadello
if you've watched them at all this year, you shouldn't be. the first half of wofford told me how bad they would be.

It was so bad Shockers pulling a dude from behind the bench (16th player?) & he scored
That was UGLY and I'm being nice!
Appreciate the optimism OP....was hoping they could sneak into NIT... but today showed why they were Pre-season #12th in the SEC

Basketball will finish 11-7 in the SEC and miss the tournament. As bad as LSU was today, the rest of the SEC is just as bad.
