A little disappointing to see LSU outside the Top 16, but I agree they may have slid in as a #4 had seeding been released today...which would have made more sense imo.

AU finished 25-7 (14-4) last year and was a 4 seed vs College of Charleston. I see LSU finishing with a similar record.

UNC lost 10 games last year and got an undeserved 2 seed imo.

Not a huge difference in a 4 or 5 seed other than avoiding a pesky 12 seed matchup out of the gate. You get a 4 or 5 seed in Round 2 and then typically the 1 seed in sweet 16.

Think you are being a little overly dramatic. 5-3 or 6-2 with a couple of SEC Tourney wins & the Tigers are a solid 5 seed or maybe even 4 IMO.

My only comment yesterday was “auburn is really talented, hope they start missing. Opposing teams are shooting lights out in the PMAC” but good try. For whatever reason teams burn up the three point line in the PMAC I’ll admit, I may have melted during that 17-0 run against State.

Edit: And just to clarify, you’re attacking someone who is agreeing with a similar message you posted in this thread

Let's take a look back to the Mississippi State game, shall we.

quote:

Mays is playing bad basketball. He’s worse right now than Tack ever was

Emmitt Williams is really bad at basketball

We have no basketball IQ. We aren’t a team. We are a bunch of guys that are kind of good at basketball

(^^ This was a reply to someone saying this team was not a bad team.)

Sky is the worst player on the court by far

(And the real winner..... )

Ben Howland is so much better than Will it isn’t funny

That's irrelevant. You always show up here trashing other posters for being negative, when you are constantly doing it yourself.

I don’t attack anyone for being negative. People get emotional during games this post was bad when judging our resume.

And I still really like Ben Howland

But none of this means anything anymore."

This is just pure drivel. We can't control who we play in conference and our record in conference does indeed count most heavily.

I’d say stick to baseball but your knowledge seems to be the same in both sports...

Ok. But when I say “beat someone”, I am not saying we haven’t beaten anyone. I’m saying the committee that seeds the tourney will look at our resume and will see how we lost to the all the best teams we played this year. We won’t have a signature win that always helps teams crack the top 16 and make a 2-4 seed

Id argue with you, but its clear from the stats you posted that you dont even realize what metrics the committee even looks at when coming up with seeding

The ignorance of most of our basketball “fans” is astounding. We’re 9-1 in conference play and OP thinks “none of this means anything anymore.” GTFO

We are 4-2 against Quad 1 teams, and 7-1 against Quad 2. How in the hell does that equal losing to all the best teams we played?

I’m really interested to see how LSU matches up with UT and UK.

Aside from Duke, those 2 teams are as talented as just about any other team in the country.

I think LSU would beat both Houston and FSU now on a neutral floor.

The goalposts keep moving. First it was the Ole Miss game that was the first real test. Then it was State. Then it was Auburn. Now, Kentucky is the first. If we beat Kentucky, it’ll be , “Let’s see how we handle a veteran team with a true star player.”
