The absolute absence of media coverage over the past 4 years was unbelievable. Even Jordy avoided talking about the team as much as he could.

Scott gave basketball the death penalty on his own. Basketball kinda had its own version of the early 90s when Auburn was banned from tv for a year. Whatever punishment the ncaa could have tried wouldn’t have touched what Scott did to basketball at LSU and really our athletic program as a whole with his low ceiling insane contract BK hire.
It’s a good thing we actually have a good amount of boosters that have deep pockets and wanted to win bad so we could fix it.

He did it to football as well it’s just that structurally football has been built so well it didn’t collapse to the same degree but it was infested with Woodys termites too.

This is a confusing post, you tell us you don’t like a very boring loser that is a nice guy, but you also don’t like a coach with energy that wins. What do you like a nice .500 type coach?

Look i hope WW takes us far. I just dont get all the hype. Sure he gets you competitive, but as far as I knkw, could be wrong, he has never been on the bench coaching a g ame to get to the elite 8. He was at a basketball school this past year in a down year for the acc and didn't do much. What has he been coaching, 15 years? Im not like some, I hooe he wins it all, i just dont get the hype. I was fortunate to be a kid in the early 80s and got to watch a bigtime run by Dale.

Wade won at a higher clip here in his time than Dale did in the same time frame of his career.
Wade is still a young growing coach that is clearly going to get better.
He does have similarities to daddy Dale with how he promotes basketball and is always working for LSU, both ran a foul of the ncaa as well. Dale provoked the ncaa over and over and called them the gestapo. They finally nailed him and ended his career.
Wade has potential to be very good, he was winning at the highest clip overall in the sec while here in round 1, he turned mcneese from nothing to making March madness and even winning a game, he turned a very bad nc state around in year 1 making them a tourny team.
Fact is there aren’t many coaches with elite 8s on their resume and even fewer of them still in their primes and would come to LSU where basketball is third fiddle despite being the second biggest revenue driver we have.
The first step in making an elite 8 is going to the tournament, eventually a good coach will break through.

The reason they haven't been made public is that they have not been approved by the NCAA to play. If the court case goes against us it will be tough times in BR.
Can you give me a date when the roster will be made public? Is it after this Thursday's court case? What if the NCAA never clears the foreign players before the season starts? We play them anyway and risk fines, penalties and forfeitures? Or do we frantically sign more US players who are still in the portal?

You do realize that Wade BY FAR has the best 5 year start in LSU history right?
Considerably better than Dale's first 5. And I grew up in the 80s loving Dale and the LSU basketball program.
One of my biggest disappointments as an LSU fan is Dale not winning at least one title.
Trust me, we are in great hands with Wade at the helm.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of college baseball AT ALL (though I am watching my Phillies right now), but I'm pretty sure you won't find me in the LSU baseball threads.
The poster you're referring to though just can't help herself from trying to diss Wade and posting in a thread of a sport she clearly hates. And she will be VERY DISAPPOINTED with the results Wade is gonna produce over the next decade+ here.

Well that’s the thing, I don’t watch every single sport either but because I’m an LSU fan I support and pull for every one of them. You can’t be an LSU fan and want an LSU team to lose. That guy isn’t an LSU fan, it’s some sort of social acceptance thing with these types.

Thanks. That adds some clarity to the matter. It sounds like there are a few more hurdles to clear but it's something.
I still don't have a clear understanding of the eligibility status of the two UCLA players. Can someone shed some light on these two?
