Wrong! Lose two starters, Carmouche and Del Pierro and probably JOB. Not exactly everyone back.

Carmouche is a good player, but easily replacable. Del Pierro is only playing because we don't have anyone else, not the case next year. If JOB leaves......yeah that one would hurt.

Carmouche lost his job to Malik Morgan. Maybe he got back with his 21 points, but who knows.

Del Piero isn't a starter though. While he will be missed, he gets less than 10 minutes/game.

Carmouche has started almost every game and has logged lots more minutes than Morgan. Not saying he is a great indispensable player but he has contributed quite a lot this year. To just say we lose nothing when we lose him is ridiculous.

If you'll hadn't noticed both Del Pierro and Carmouche played a huge role in our best game of the year. Again I will say that all those fabulous freshmen to be haven't been tested yet. Will Odo really be a lot better than Del Pierro. Probably but not a sure thing.

and Morgan is a freshman, while Carmouche is a fifth year senior. Morgan is close to his level right now and really should pass him up next year anyway if Carmouche were coming back.

First of all, Del Pierro will probably be back anyway. If he does come back he will have to walk on, because there is no room for his scholarship with all the talent we have coming in next year. If we lose him.....it isn't that big of a deal. Again, the only reason he plays now is we have no one else. He has be awesome compared to what he was last year and what we thought we would get, but he still isn't an SEC caliber starter. He gives a big body that we can put out there and sometimes we get some gravy by him playing well.

Odo averaged 14 rebounds at Hill college 2 years ago.

Yes, but he has since lost his starting job. He has come off the bench for the past 5 games. While he has been important for his assists and experience, he isn't the key to the team.

Del Piero only plays because we have no one else to play there. We all pull for him because of his situation but come on, he is VERY easily replaceable by a guy like John Odo. We should be deep enough at the big man spots next year IF JOB III stays to redshirt Darcy Malone which would be vital for his transition IMO.

Carmouche is a solid all around player, but he doesnt do 1 thing especially well. He's a decent scorer, rebounder and distributor but doesnt excel in any of those. He's an average shooter at best who turns it over a little more than you'd like from an off-guard. He has back problems and that clearly affects him at times. He's a solid all around player, but with a guy like Tim Quarterman coming in, once again, replaceable. Quarterman is longer and will be more athletic.

probably JOB

Remains to be seen. If he continues his pace, then probably a early/mid 2nd round pick which is enough possibly for him to declare. But if he slips up some, he wont be very draftable. I think JOB III needs to realize how much NBA scouts could notice him even more next year playing mostly the 4 position which is what he'd be in the NBA with great teammates around him to take pressure off of him. His stock could soar to mid-late 1t levels if he returned.

JOB is much improved without question but go and look at the draft boards he is undrafted on all if even mentioned. If he came out this year he would have to bust it and showoit at some combines or workouts. The problem becomes next year is that he is a junior and that is now taken into consideration as his age becomes a factor so a lottery pick will never happen, he does not have elite athleticism or shooting ability for a big man.

In the 2011-2012 season he averaged
12.4 pts
14.3 rebs
4.7 blks

Odo will be a big time rebounder and shot blocker for us. Dont expect him to score much, but he wont need to with Hickey, Stringer, Martin, Mickey and JOB III all doing that for us.

Johnny Jones said he is trying to get another year for him. He has only played 2 years and been on the team for those 2 years.

Yeah but its highly doubtful the ncaa would grant him an extra year. It makes no sense for them to do that.

Most Top 100 lists havent been updated in weeks so no telling where he is now. On nbadraft.net's Top 100 he was #83 overall but that was 2 weeks ago as well before this recently strong run.

Why would it make no sense if he enrolled in grad school and only has played 2 years?

Damn. 14 boards a game is a ton. And honestly that is a stat that shouldn't be to far off what does for LSU. Martin might have to play the 3 after all. Lol.

I am not trying to be a douche like some posters but there re obly two rounds in the NBA draft so 60 get drafted. But you have to take 10 of that number because the trend is late second round picks to be Overseas players that are stash and grab type that no draft board will have. To have a chance need to be in the Top 50 on every board. Lets just assume and hope he comes back

WAT? The #1 rebounder in the nation doesn't even average 12. 10 would be pushing it. He'll probably average half that.

I'd be very surprised if he was getting close to 14 boards a game. That's incredibly difficult to do even if you play say 35+ minutes a game. I think Odo averages closer to 25 minutes a game and grab 7-8 boards on average.

He was the #1 rebounder in all of JUCO ball when he was there, but that's also many times going up against much shorter guys than him.
