Papierski is terrible in all phases of the game. He needs to take a seat. Currently, even Romero is a better player than he is. How can you regress this badly in blocking pitches?

Well to his defense most of the time he can at least guess which side to block on Kiel is everywhere

Pitching was terrible but let me see u block a 92+ mph fastball or a curveball that bounces 2' wide of home plate!

I'd say half of those pitches in the dirt would be hard for most catchers to block but Pap hasn't exactly instilled confidence in our pitchers lately

Kiel may not be popping the mit right where he's set up, but Papierski has been pitiful. He hasn't come close to cleanly blocking balls in the dirt. This is the only reason you're in the lineup and every other ball is at the backstop.
