Is Woodward going to do any of this or is he just going to continue to let it suck?

From my perspective Scott has spent the first few years at LSU getting on the field products up to his standards with coaching hires, cleaning up NCAA issues, etc. and also focused heavily on fundraising. Hoping that now that he has the different programs how he likes them he will focus on facility improvements because there is a lot that needs to be done (PMAC, the Box, Nat, Bernie Moore)

It's not rocket science. There's plenty of room to have a section for students and a section for families with kids.

Both groups of fans are important, and both can be accommodated.

Wrong. Many of us old people can’t stand how stale the box has become. What made the old place so special and fun was the rowdy atmosphere and fan involvement.

Heckling in the outfield bleachers, people cheering and not worried about being loud or what the a-hole next to you thought.

People didn’t need to be told when to cheer by a super fan

Somehow winning championships bred a sense of entitlement among a lot of the “baseball only” fans who think they own the place and are more concerned that nobody sits in the unoccupied seats around them because those are only for season ticket holders.

Used to be a community of crazy good old boys rooting for the Tigers. Now it’s like the elderly social gathering where you’re there to be seen rather than really being into the game

Of course this was all back before the young people had their faces in their cell phones too so it’s a different crowd now

I think they definitely need to get Johnson’s feedback and make some changes to liven it up again.

It’s not what it used to be

Jay Johnson needs to have a 1on1 meeting with those geriatric stadium ushers and tell them to STFU

Otherwise The Box will never compete

I honestly don't know where the current student section is located. In the current layout, is it any more rowdy than any other section of Alex Box?

Checks in, and I love a rowdy stadium, I think it makes the experience better for everyone...even us old guys.

I do think there are certain things that should not be said....anything racist or overly sexual or graphic should be policed by the section itself.

Innocent family-friendly heckling has never been frowned upon to my knowledge.

Young adults these days don’t have a filter and think it’s hilarious to act like attention-starved idiots and yell obscenities with children around.

Was in right field last year. I said one cuss word and some Karen turned around said “excuse me they’re children around here”. To keep peace I just nodded and ignored it. People are just so uptight these days. I remember being a kid and hearing all kinds of shite at LSU sports events. It just comes with the atmosphere.

Yea it’s the new ones. This hasn’t been the case for generations at all.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the student antics. But they are kids and they should be allowed to act crazy. I often bring my kids to games and I just make sure not to sit down the RF line. The stadium is plenty big enough to have a rowdy side and an old-head side.

At the end of the day, whatever helps our players win.

They need to let the students heckle the right fielder again, and the marshalls there needs to get the giant dick out of their asses.

Give the students the entire right field outfield section and let them run wild.

If we used logic what would we complain about? Get out of here with you well thought out plan.

If the students could support it, I would be all for it, but I've never seen LSU student support of the baseball program come close to justifying that entire RF section.

Now you could argue if you build it, they will come. If LSU fostered a fun atmosphere for students, then you may see support improve.

Students used to fill up Coons Corner because the tickets were GA and fun

The current process for student tickets is horrible and discouraged students from going. I could never get a group of friends together to show up on time to get tickets together (they were hard tickets with seat numbers) … and then once those ran out students get standing room only tickets. Standing sucks, and having students dispersed all through the stadium makes it hard to sit with friends and tell how many are there at any given game

You can’t get chicks to show up an hour or more before game time to get tickets together, and they aren’t going to stand all game. And if chicks aren’t going, guys will go where the chicks are.

Relaxing GA seating just for them with cheap food and drinks (or like State/Ole Miss, allowing them to bring their own) would make it a place to be

What is the current process? If it's anything more than showing an ID, shame on LSU.

They want to be the most obscene, they crave attention. But I think you just make a statement that they have quite a bit of rope and to use it wisely, I truly believe they would take care of those that cross the line. Lets face it, even if packed, the number of students that will come to every or most games is pretty small and they dont want to lose their privileges.

This sucks. LSU needs to not forget that they dont exist without students. Going to games should be a cheap option for students to utilize as a perk for being a student.

Seems it would be first come first serve, show your ID and walk in to the students section. Once full, offer discounted entry into GA for those that dont get in.

The problem with all these suggested changes in seating is that changes like this would entail people giving up long time seats. That's not going to happen. But getting the marshals to back off some would be a start. They are contract employees, right, not LSU employees? But a lot of long time fans will not give up their seats.

Alex Box needs to get back to being rowdy everybody is so worried about being classy and winning with class. I’m not saying you can’t do that but let the students be students yell colorful language have some beers like it’s not supposed to be a church service.

Give them the option for ticket else where or no tickets at all. Most will take the tickets in other sections the others don't matter
