If you have a chance to make the conditions better then you do it. Are you saying don’t change it in the name of toughness?

This you? How exactly are the conditions better? How does 4 degree temp differences make players tougher? Put on a jacket and play ball

I said nothing about player safety. Sun gonna be out, nice day, play ball. Why wouldn’t you play in nicer weather if you have the chance? Why does it matter to you guys bitching about it? Do you think the team isnt going to play as well at 3?

Maybe thinking is difficult for you, maybe not. Maybe announce the switch a week ago? Maybe let the people who have anticipated opening night for 8 months have more than a day to change their plans? You realize people have jobs? Kids? shite to do? You're probably not even going so it doesn't even matter to you, but maybe, just maybe think about other people having responsibilities who spent their money to be there, who no longer can attend because LSU wants to move a game over a 3 degree temperature change.

This isnt about the fans, its about the players and if both teams think this is a good idea, i really dont see what the problem is.

You think the Box is going to be electric with 10k in the stands at 7 when the temperature is 30?

Except it isn't going to be 30. Temps will be about 46 for the 3pm start, 42 for 6/7. Winds will have calmed down by 6 as well so the difference in wind chill will be around 2 degrees.

It's a bad move to make the day before opening weekend ensuring many of the people that want to be there can't make it.

I mean it’s weird and pretty lame but at least people may stay till the end now. There would be about 7 people there at 9 pm with this cold weather

Just work a half day on Friday and you’ll be fine. Screws up tailgating but you got the rest of The Weeknd for that

Take it up with coach then. I’m sure he’s more concerned with his players than what a few message board fans think. What if there was rain tomorrow night in the forecast? Would you be bitching that they moved the time at the last minute?

I actually wouldn’t be opposed to moving the start date of the season to around March 1.

So you're comparing a rain out with a 3 degree temperature difference? How fricking stupid are you?

Johnson said maybe we’ll make opening day opening day this moment forward and hand out permission slips for school and work in the Baton Rouge area— apologizes for the change of game time last-minute #LSU

Jay Johnson says he’s toying with the idea of making opening day, literally opening day - play it in the afternoon
