LSU Baseball moves Friday game from 6:30 to 3:00 pm due to cold weather

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU-Western Michigan baseball game will start at 3 p.m. CT Friday in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
The game, originally scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. CT, was moved to 3 p.m. due to concerns about the cold weather forecast in the Baton Rouge area on Friday night.
Game 2 of the series will start at 1:30 p.m. CT Saturday, and Game 3 will begin at 12:30 p.m. CT Sunday, as originally scheduled.

Due to cold weather? WTF? It’s gonna be in the 30’s, could you imagine changing the start time of a football game because it’s gonna be in the 30’s?

How fricking stupid. Atmosphere will be shite now. I get it if it was some non conference game three weeks into the season but this is opening day.

Cold weather? When I was a kid we played baseball in sleet, snow and walked uphill to the game in our short sleeve uniforms..... and was glad to do it.

My dad did this and had to walk uphill back home because for some reason our parents and grandparents didn’t learn to just walk the same direction back so it would be downhill.

If you have a chance to make the conditions better then you do it. Are you saying don’t change it in the name of toughness? That’s stupid. You think the Box is going to be electric with 10k in the stands at 7 when the temperature is 30? It’s not
