So you want us to make up hypothetical scenarios for ways our championship hopes can be derailed? What’s wrong with you?

Since we're told to ignore injuries and that's clearly the most likely thing, the next thing that could derail LSU would be if Coach Johnson decides to try and overmanage, like, if weather delays a post-season game, bringing in your starter to close the suspended game before starting him in Game 2.
Another thing would be inclement weather that might negate a pitching advantage LSU would otherwise enjoy.

Gausman closing game 1 and starting game 2 is not why we lost game 2.

We could just….play bad for a weekend

Paul probably still wakes up in the middle of the night with night terrors from how Stoney brook abused us in our own house.

Losing a baseball game is not a single-variable proposition, so of course, there isn't just one reason they lost, I agree.

Exactly and I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 or those where people are calling for jobs but...1-2 , then couple sweeps and back on track..it's baseball

Goes back to that soft-throwing Kryponite.
Forgot his name, but he threw what seemed like 200+ pitches in game 2 and not a single pitch topped 84mph.

I still have nightmares watching Rhymes, Katz, and Edwards patrolling the outfield that weekend

So you think Gausman was at a disadvantage by pitching game 2?

We may not have known it, but that outfield inaugurated the everyone has to be racehorse fast or have played SS in high school era of LSU baseball.

Mason Katz going from CF in 2012 to 1B in 2013 is wild.

I wake up to the Stoney brook players getting a victory lap as our team watches.

That's a very poorly phrased question, so I'm not sure how to answer it. Gausman was clearly disadvantaged by a bunch of things in Game 2, most clearly, the rain. It got in his head, and he melted down.
He was also disadvantaged by having the lineup he was facing see him in the first game.

It's what you implied and now you are avoiding giving a direct answer.

He faced, I think, 3 hitters

IMO, as always we are at the mercy of a good pitcher pitching a GREAT game.

His name is Tyler Johnson, and he threw a fricking 3-hitter.

If everyone has a good left handed pitcher ti throw against us in the tournament.

We are stacked no doubt, but don’t expect us to have some growing pains early on in SEC play.
So you don’t think we will run rule everyone?
