That's the first thing I noticed too. He was one of the newbies I was excited about coming in.

Alex Lange hasn't deposed Poche yet as the number one guy. Wonder what he'll have to do to win the Friday night job.

I've missed baseball. I haven't followed it at all in the off season. What has happened with Latz since his last surgery?

#LSU Mainieri - maybe Jake Latz can contribute in late April, perhaps May. Will start throwing soon. Wait it out. Let him progress.

Question for you experts out there, you know who you are. I see only 2 seniors on the entire roster and it appears that our sophomores are the more pro ready players. So do we bring the whole lineup back next year ( does Fraley go pro?). If so this would seem like the football team this year. I mean we are next year U, aren't we

Barring catastrophic injury, yes, he goes pro.

On a different note, if you aren't already pumped about the start of the season, give Mike Rooney a follow on Twitter. He's basically just re-tweeting every college baseball program showing pics from the first day of practice. Seton Hall had to clear 30 inches of snow to be able to practice today. Insane.

i don't understand how these players seem to invent new ways to get injured each offseason.

I think some of our pitchers and a few of the JC players will opt for the pros after this season. Hopefully, most will stay for what could be a special team in 2017.

yeah, i get that. But it seems like every year there's a new one. fell out of a truck, stepped on a glove, stepped on a baseball, now, fell on broken glass. i know some of those happened during the season.

Deichmann is a draft eligible sophomore, I think, but he'd have to show a lot of improvement to be drafted high enough to leave.
