I'd rather play #1 and a mixture of #5-7 than having to play #2-4 like we are faced with this year.
In SEC baseball, there is hardly much difference between teams #1-4 in each division. They're all really F'ing good. Whereas, each division also has their bottom dwellers (Alabama, Tenn) where a series victory is expected and a sweep a very real possibility.
So... Missing Vandy, UGA, and Tenn sucks compared to playing #2-4 in the west.

I pretty much agree with that.
I don't see Tennessee being a bottom dweller for long. With them hiring Serrano, I can see that program on the upswing the next couple seasons.
One way or another, the SEC is only getting tougher in baseball. I could see 18-12 winning the conference overall. LSU won it at 19-11 last season.

oh i agree. i would like to see a side by side with arkansas's schedule. i dont know who they face but i know some of their fans said they get all of their tough series at home.

Home: LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, A&M, Tennessee
Away: South Carolina, Alabama, UGA, Kentucky, Auburn

I think our schedule is a little tougher than Arkansas.

I agree we should take that series but Missouri went to seven consecutive regionals before having a couple of off years. Still, they won the Big 12 tourney last year.
