Can we get a little love for the guys that are proud to wear the Purple & Gold?? Yes, we lost 2 good position players, who of which were possible starters, but you know what? Life. Goes. On.
I agree with Pap. LSU has the best damn fans in the country, and I am excited about our damn strong baseball team!

2015 should be a fun season watching all the young talent LSU has recruited develop into good SEC quality ballplayers. I'm anxious to see which pitchers turn into studs. Hell, I'm looking forward to fall practice!

I'm also looking at 2017 as our next big opportunity. We certainly have enough pitching to make a run next year, but probably lost too much hitting and defense to back them up. Give these position players a year to develop, bring back most of the top pitchers (Poche is the only starter who could leave by then), and get whatever contributions we can from our 2016 class, and we should be set up nicely.

Why is everyone writing off 2015?We do have Alex Lange, Bugg, Poche, Hunter Newman, Cole McKay, and Latz. You win in Omaha with pitching and smart base running. I think we will be just fine, and yes 2015 will be fun to watch.

The concern is that you can't win games 0-0. Runs are going to have to be scored. The league is returning a ton of high powered offenses. LSU will have to do it with pitching. It also looks like the defense is going to take a step back at all levels, from the plate to the outfield.

It messed me up too... 2015 is last season, 2016 is next season. No idea why we're using fall years for a spring sport.
