I went to the same HS just 5 years after Walker graduated from airline and he would at least once a year come talk to our baseball team (who at the time had made the playoffs 25 straight years). And I still play hardball today in the local NOLA league. So I feel where you're coming from. I just think the game is not as entertaining as baseball. A personal preference obviously but hopefully this time next year both sports will be comparable. If we won a championship in basketball I do think it would vault to LSU's second sport. Either way,

Wouldn't bother me a bit.

If basketball had that type of run, today's kids and even adults would have the same type of feeling helping grow the sport and fan base.

Hoops just needs some consistency. The kids entering college now weren't even born when Shaq was at LSU. We really had a chance to build on something after the Final 4 year but we shite the bed the next year in conference play.

I'm just straight skipping the football game because I know no bar around campus is going to put the basketball game on tv with sound

I already plan on watching the basketball game over the football game if it's still rolling by the time tip off happens. We looked fricking good last night.

I'll watch them both. I have 4 HD TV's in my man cave.

Let's not get carried away. A regular season football game is infinitely more important than a regular season basketball game. I want a good bowl matchup with a solid opponent. A loss to Arky could kill that. Basketball could lose today, then win 10 in a row and no one would remember Memphis.

I'll be in Tiger Stadium until after the postgame alma mater.
