McMullen's arm is not below average.

for me having a cannon in the outfield is important it increases the distance of a sac fly needs to be and that can be huge. Also not every single with a man on second scores a run.

Nothing shows me that McMullen is that much faster and a better fielder than foster to justify the loss of arm strength.

Foster should start in the outfield.

I think you're underestimating how good of an athlete Foster is.

I could say the same to all you in regards to McMullen.

I'm not saying he should be benched, I just think McMullen is the better player of the two.

v. RHP
McMullen LF
Scivique/Sciambra/somebody DH

v. LHP
Foster LF
McMullen DH

if foster struggles against RHP like last year than I'm fine with this. But the first few series when we play crappy teams give him a chance to hit some RHPs.

No dedication.

I'd take the wheel but I'm putting all my efforts into conducting the Scivicue Pain Train

That's the thing though, Mainieri seems to be really high on Scivique's bat as a possible DH. He needs to get a shot somewhere, too.

He's been the weakest of the 3 behind the plate in the scrimmages.

strongest per practice reports.

and if you dont agree that foster has more power than mcmullen you cant be helped. you must be related to mcmullen or something.

hell i like mac and think he should be a starter at DH and is a great spark plug in the leadoff spot. but im not blind to his deficiencies.

Catcher will work itself out quickly. Having 5 outfielders for 3 spots is something that will linger all season.
