I hope he gets the start opening weekend, give him a chance against crappy pitchers from UNO.
Why does McMullen not deserve the same opportunity in the outfield? He was the better player of the two last year.

because he is our DH

Why can't he be our left fielder?

why does he have to be?
I'm not saying he shouldn't be but he has been good at DH the last two years so why change things.

Leon Landry once let a routine fly ball bounce right out of his glove. He was such a shitty outfielder.

If things were based only on past performance, Stevenson would ride the pine with his .190 average since we are so deep in the outfield. I get what you are saying, and if guys don't succeed, they'll be pulled. But, Foster IMO has the most upside when combining the bat, speed, and arm.

Him playing LF won't change anything in terms of how at bats he gets.

i think i'd be nice to have at least one arm in the outfield. If you put Mc out there you have 3 guys with zero arm.

the question comes down to who is a better fielder
Foster
McMullen
I would say because Foster has a cannon for an arm he gets the nod.
Foster

McMullen has a good arm as well and can cover more ground than Foster. Dude was a stud centerfielder at Delgado.

McMullen has the better speed and bat.

Mc = McMullen

I don't think that is what he was asking

I know, where are you getting the "0 arm" from McMullen? It's not Foster-level but it is much much better than Laird and Stevenson.

I think you're underestimating how good of an athlete Foster is.

zero may have been too far but it is certainly below average. laird = zero.
