Agreed.

I'm afraid the fans' expectations are so high for Nola that if he doesn't win every game or strike out 10 every game posters will be asking "what's wrong with Nola?" sort of like what happened with Rhymes last year when he was only batting .350.

Wasn't my theory. I don't remember who it was, but it was someone else claiming that we wouldn't hit SEC pitching because we weren't scoring early.

I probably supported that theory at some point, because I do think there is a small bit of merit to the debate, if we are struggling to score runs against weak, non-conference opponents. But I was not the poster that always made that argument.

It just gets to be tiring and boring with all the 'fire Javi' posts when you consider that LSU was second in the SEC only to Vandy last season in both batting and slugging averages. And LSU beat Vandy in the only game they played each other.

And the team led the SEC in total bases by a HUGE number over Vandy while playing only two more games than the 'dores and having almost 100 more total bases than Miss St although State played 3 more games than LSU.

I'm not a booster of Sanchez but those type of posts are wayyyyyyy stale and display a huge amount of being willfully uninformed.

Russian is mad at me beause I didn't give Stony Brook a victory lap. It's an old debate, and I'd love to bury the hatchet, but he attacks everything I say because we disagree on appropriate behavior for the best fans in college baseball.

I almost posted something about that earlier. It's just a running joke. My personal opinion on the coach doesn't matter, he ain't going anywhere. But it's no different that all of the "Miles has lost control of _______". If we can't mock ourselves, who can we mock?
