"An Alabama victory was followed by a win by the democratic nominee, while a win by LSU signaled the Republican candidate being voted into office. It has been accurate for the past seven elections.

1984: LSU 16, Alabama 14. Ronald Reagan (R) demolishes Walter Mondale (D).
1988: LSU 19, Alabama 18. George H.W. Bush (R) defeats Michael Dukakis (D).
1992: Alabama 31, LSU 11. Bill Clinton (D) defeats George H.W. Bush (R).
1996: Alabama 26, LSU 0. Clinton (D) defeats Bob Dole (R).
2000: LSU 30, Alabama 28. George W. Bush (R) defeats Al Gore (D).
2004: LSU 26, Alabama 10. George W. Bush (R) defeats John Kerry (D).
2008: Alabama 27, LSU 21. Barack Obama (D) defeats John McCain (R).

If this trend continues, an Alabama win on Saturday would signal victory for the Democratic party and an Obama re-election. If LSU can pull the upset, Romney will beat out the incumbent president and find his way into the oval office."

At first I thought it was moved to the Political talk, but apparently it was just whacked. Don't know why.

Fact Check:

I'm curious to know if it's accurate beyond 1984...probably not. That's a really small sample size. Too small to actually analyze or consider conclusive.

Any statician or scientist would throw this as as inconclusive.

The entire country, perhaps the entire free world, is counting on us. The stakes have never been higher.

So politically the best case is for Bama to win, but athletically of course I want LSU to win. Should I risk the future of the free world over a football game? The answer is yes.

It would be an amazing week if:
LSU beats Bama
Mitt beats Obama.

It would be a terrible week if:
Lsu loses to Bama
Mitt loses to Obama
