Alton Davis and Zach Root

Root was ECUs 2, their ace was draft eligible and projected early first rounder Trey Yesavage.

I find a lot of variability amongst the R’sC locations. The one in Lafayette is very good. I’ve not eaten at enough Fleming’s to hold a strong opinion, but the one in BR is inferior to Lafayette Ruth’s.

Pretty sure most 18-19 yr olds don't know whether or not a Ruth Chris - type steak house is over rated or not.

Davis would be a good exchange for Cam leaving. A guy with 95-96 from the left side but more likely to be a big contributor next year.

Don’t know much about Root. Had never heard of him prior to now.

I am certainly no insider but i have an A&M friend that helped work the d3 softball world series, said he talked with kevin griffin. Told me that Mr. griffin told him that it wasnt even close that LSU has the best NIL setup. Obviously Not enough to keep konnor , but was still interesting to hear. Hope we reel in some big portal talent with that

Last I heard he sold most of his interest in all the restaurants he helped start including Outback. Then bought a winery in Napa selling high end wines.

Outback bought Flemings a long time ago, Paul Fleming had nothing to do with starting Outback. The winery is run by his first wife, Kelly Fleming, who the wine is named after. Fleming is still active in lots or restaurants, including Paul Martins.

Hope they are hosting about 10 of the nations best pitchers. Forget the coaches, break out the blondes with the breasts

Once upon a time, 15-20 years ago Ruth Chris' had really gone down after TJ sold it to corporate. That was about the time that Flemings started and really started doing great customer service and great food. Their frequent diner program was great and offered nice benefits including free wine tastings paired with small plates, discounts, gift certificates, free desserts sometimes, etc.
Then Chris Blanchard bought Ruth Chris' in Baton Rouge and really upped the food quality and service game as well. Now I find them to be better than Flemings IMO..

Alton Davis is a super tall, super skinny black dude. Should be pretty easy for op to confirm or deny.

Would be a strong addition

That would actually make sense for Holman to be there. Davis would be a solid pickup!

If it were Ruth’s Chris, the recruit would’ve signed at the table.

I’ve actually never been to Fleming’s but Ruth’s Chris has gone DOWN HILL the last 3 times I’ve been in 3 different locations. Will never go again.

Zach Root

He held North Carolina scoreless through 7 on 3 hits this year in their series. His ERA improved to 3.56 from 5.53 his freshman year. 76 Ks to 21 walks in 68.1 innings.

Hard to imagine that…nothing wrong with the RC wine list.

As they say in the biz, “the best way to make a million in the wine business is to start with two million”.
