No matter what plays out (Les goes or stays) some will take their shots at LSU

With change come the potential to be great

With no change comes complacency and the ceiling is known.

There is the risk of becoming worse with change.

The risk benefit ratio favors a change IMO. The media is not sure how to handle this because our administration is being proactive in an unprecedented way.

This reminds me of a divorce. Everyone has an opinion about who is right or wrong but none of it really matters in the end. When it's all over, everyone moves on and forgets about how it all went down. Same will happen here.

The same brand Miles has made a name across the country over eleven years. That is what we get for listening to the bad fans. I graduated from LSU and blame our fans more than administration. Bet the same ones complaining just win at life no matter where they go.

I would love to square up and punch Paul Finebaum right in the nose. That guy has ZERO credibility being on ESPN.

This is spot on and is exactly why Miles is done. He has had year after year to change things and couldn't do it or could and wanted to do it his way? His offense puts everyone in bad next to impossible situations and he wonders why they can't perform or execute. You have to put them in the best position to execute and he doesn't do that!! Time to go period. About this media deal, it was to be expected. It's not about how many wins Miles has it's about the belief in him as HC and 20 penelties or a penalty killing drive for a whole half has to stop. Not getting the play call in time all the time leading to nerves and penelties, very bad ST, tackling is awful. The only bright side to this team at this time is the DL and that has even died off some. The HC is ultimately responsible for these mistakes so it's time.

Just read this USA Today article blasting us for the treatment of a legendary coach. Mostly for shamefully letting him twist in the wind.

ESPN is blasting us mercilessly. Yahoo, Fox Sports, anybody with a microphone or an Internet outlet is killing us.

I'm embarrassed. The more this goes on, I think it's time to take this to Alleva's door. He doesn't appear to have our best interests at heart. I think what has been holding us back more than anything Les did is Joe's treatment of Chief, his inability financially support and manage coordinator hires, and his lack of foresight to how doing what he's doing right now would play out.

I'm pretty disappointed in him. It's starting to look to me that we could go a lot farther

Who gives a shite. Team branding and loyalty to the brand are completely regional. It's why Robert Kraft doesn't give any fricks about being called a cheat in the national media. That sort of shite galvanizes local fans and actually gives the fans an "us against the world" mentality. That translates into more merchandise sales to the fans. Like Les said, "it is and always will be about the team and not one person."

LSU also takes a beating when it loses games that it shouldn't because of poor in-game adjustments or clock management.

It all doesn't matter. None of it matters. We are just one terrorist attack from complete dissolution as a society and yet some folks are worried about a college brand going to hell.

All that BS is fleeting. They'll forget about it when a decision is made an move on to the next thing.

This talk be going on for years and will effect LSU for years to come. Get use to it. We reap what we sew with our self-entitlement fan base that got our booster's panties in a wod thinking they should do something asap. Just couldn't leave it alone after we loss to bama. Well here we go, embrace the 1990's again, we deserve it.

Show me a firing of a legendary coach that went well? Mac Brown, Paterno, Bowden, etc?

this is the same media that will skewer LSU for being overrated, lacking a qb, lacking offensive imagination, etc. but now they want LSU to keep its mediocre coach?

You're foolish if you think Alleva is anything more than a figure head. Some big money boosters are behind all of this and Alleva is following suit. It'll all be over in a couple days.

Agree with this. Also, if the new HC is a home run hire and not a 2 year stop gap hire this will be forgotten. If LSU wins this will all be forgotten.

Those in the press bashing LSU right now will afterwards write articles and do video segments saying how smart LSU was in the way they handled this and make themselves look smart through and through. They are the press and they set the narrative. In the end it really won't matter if LSU is winning.

Don't pay attention to the media. They are just unnecessary clutter.

The media was negative towards Alabama back when Shula was going out and the replacement search process was ongoing.

Alleva is the worst AD we've ever had. He must be fired tomorrow.

Les is Les. We can't be angry at him for the man just a being who he is.

The AD is making us look like crap for the handling of this.

What do you want him to do?

If he's in talk with someone and not sure yet, there's nothing to say.

"I'm working on his replacement and if I can't lock one up, we'll keep him"
Is a terribly stupid thing to say.

"Les is staying" during negotiations with another coach is incredibly stupid.

"les is fired" before we have a replacement is incredibly stupid.

The National media is throwing a 5 year old temper tantrum because they want to know right now what's going on and LSU is smartly staying silent.

If they're in talks with Les about hiring new coordinators or assistant coaches, then again a statement at this time makes no sense.

Les is also a mid60 year old with kids. He might be pondering retiring and he told the booster club he wants to maybe retire and they said he can have the courtesy to think about it. Which again wouldn't make send to make a statement.

All of you saying "Alleva is an idiot and he isn't handling this right" I would like to hear from you what exactly you think the situation is and how he should handle it. Unless you're just a reactionary tard in which case, carry on.
