Best pitching staff in the country? I won't be a homer & say LSU has the better staff but you mite want to take a good look at Florida's & Vandy's to name only 2 in the conference. The SEC has 4 teams ranked in the Top 6 & they are not there because of their hitting. As for a 3 game series, like Skip told the weenies back in the day, "I am not giving up 3 games at The Box to play anybody but a conference team 3 times on the road". Too much money involved among other reasons. Why the hate? You must be a young one. The girls' SOFTBALL team had to stop playing ULLLLLL because of the hate from cajun/bulldogs/chilipepper's fans during a series in Lafayette.

Maybe help the Ull rpi but LSU plays many top teams throughout the season.

It'd be interesting to see them in a 3 game series.

Agree 100%. Outside of conference play, baseball teams just can't afford to travel that much, so for non-conference opponents, you're pretty much limited to teams in your region. With those limitations, it can be hard to put together a non-conference schedule that adds to your RPI and SOS. For two strong programs to be within 50 miles of each other and not take advantage of the opportunity to boost their numbers by playing each other really doesn't make sense. Since the schools are so close, we could even do a 3-game series with two games at one venue and one at the other. Even better, IMO, would be four games split into to two 2-game midweek sets. One 2-game set could be played at each venue. Four games, including two on the road, against each other would boost the RPI of both teams, even if they split or one lost 3 of 4.

I'm an LSU grad and love LSU baseball but I think this may be the year ULL beats us. A friend of mine is on the coaching staff at ULL and he says this will be the best team they've had in his 4yrs at the school.
But the game is pretty meaningless for LSU.

According to the advocate the last ten games lsu leads series 6-4. That's pretty evenly matched.
In the all time series lsu leads 50-25. That's actually a pretty good record for the Cajuns because because I would guess very few schools have any kind of success against lsu

First off, it's ULL, why they are so ashamed of being from Lafayette, I don't understand.
Because the team and their fans come here with the little man syndrome, penis envy,and act like a bunch of horse's asses.
Do these morons understand what no artificial noise makes means? It means washboards, wooden clappers, horns and whatever other dumb shite they bring with them. Have a little class, cheer for your team and behave yourself, maybe one day you will be accepted.
