I really do think that next year when we line up in two tight, two back, one receiver sets that we are going to break through that Bama front 7. Next year is the year, it's going to happen. We are going to maul them with toss dives until the cows come home.

I'll go out on a limb and say Miles would rather his 15 million over respect. Do you realize that just by getting fired his grandchildren will be set for life?

You've turned this entire process into a shitshow and have embarrassed yourselves and the university
I don't get this. What has ACTUALLY happened, other than a one liner from one person and what the media (espn) is making up? Can someone enlighten me on what the university has done to embarrass itself?

So if we get Jimbo and win 11 games next year would you be happy or mad?
stupid question.
although i remember when the rantards wanted Jimbo Fisher run out of Baton Rouge.
If we get the head coach of Appalachian State and win 3 games next year would you be happy or mad?

Choctaw, Beefense, ipodking, and Gray Tiger all love Les and his whacky ways. They wouldn't have any other coach.
They were looking for any opportunity to reneg on this, and apparently not firing miles immediately and having jimbo on board publicly is a shameful mess!

I tend to agree with you. The longer this thing goes on, the more it seems like Alleva is really just a minor player and that this is being orchestrated by some petulant, albeit very influential fans. They better damn well have everything lined up for the successor. I've never been the biggest fan of Les, but the fact remains that he's won alot of games and been a very good representative of the university. And if you know a little bit about him, he's been a great part of the BR community.
Everyone hopes it won't turn out that way, but you can't help be wary that this turns into a Texas situation. Jimmy Sexton kept the booster and big money people salivating on the belief that they were going to get Saban. The "search" drug on and on. All the while, the big money guys were positive they had Saban in the bag. In the end, Sexton did his job and got his client another deal at a place where he likely had ZERO plans of leaving. The powers that be better be sure that they aren't just getting leveraged by a savvy agent.

I understand why people want something new but this whole process has made our entire fan base look like a bunch of whiny entitled little shits. The way in which this is playing out will destroy our program.

I work with guys form A&M, UT, OU, OSU, Wisconsin, BYU, etc...and they think we're insane that this is even happening....along with 99% of the media and the rest of the SEC. Have some fricking perspective
How many of those co-workers have watched every LSU game? And the media just looks at him and his record. The SEC doesn't want him gone, you think they're stupid? I get it, he's a good guy and he's done a heck of a lot for our school. But at the end of the day he has a job like the rest of us, and if you get paid a lot, which our staff was one of the highest in college football, then you should at the very least have our kids ready to play and be competitive in every game. They got waxed in these games, which weren't even close: Auburn last year, Arkansas last year, Mississippi State last year(I don't care what the score was, they had their second string in and they kicked our arse), Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss this year. That's 6 games we got our arse kicked and we played like we had no leadership. We had lack of preparation. We had no game plan and we didn't adjust at any point in these games. I can understand losing, but whenever you have 6 games like that where you're not even in the game and the other team just beats your arse like that then its time to take a step back and evaluate the situation. Its tough to say but its time for a change. With our talent and the pay of the coaching staff we should be in every game we play. There's no excuse for it.

Choctaw is just one of a handfull of people on the board who spend most of their time defending Les and telling everyone how great everything is. The Les defenders never want to discuss the slide sine 01/09 or any of the numbskull moves - like Steele or rehiring BDP.
Look - if Les would agree to stay out of the O, replace the OC, DC, and ST coach., I'd be okay with another year just to see if he could right the ship with a new staff, I am unwilling to go another year with the status quo.
