You better get off your computer.....you might miss your PETA meeting.

I think you should change the thread title, this has nothing to do with the LSU administration. It is an article explaining the reasons why LSU may have trouble getting a new tiger.

The title says "may decide" because LSU has not officially spoken YET. However, the reason for this thread is that some of us suspect that this idea/decision is currently being "floated" as to soften the blow when it happens AND to blame it on PETA, etc.

We should feed F King to Mike. He'd regain his strength and probably start going to games

And the one at Tiger Truck stop is around 12+ years old. They keep trying to take his, but the place where they would put him would be smaller than his current surroundings! frick the feds and PETA

Oh, and fricker F Alexander

Yes they do and have taken the owner to court and won/lost at least 4 or 5 times. He cannot replace the Tiger once he passes.

MUST be a Mike VII

You can say this about LSU sports and a lot of other things you most likely enjoy.

No, its an article that puts PETA's views front and center. The article is trying to put PETA's ethical spin on whether or not LSU should get another tiger. The three "experts" quoted in the article either have direct ties to PETA (Leahy, Heckman) or work for organizations that have a cooperative relationship with PETA (Barylak).

The article is shamelessly slanted. There are less than 3,500 tigers left in the wild but the argument is that it is cruel for LSU to house and take care of a tiger the way it does. The only "trouble" LSU would have is PETA, and apparently people at The Advocate, kicking and screaming. Legally LSU can do whatever it chooses.

Wtf? They literally re did several dorms, the union, the book store, built new dorms, fixed roads, added the arm gates to make it more pedestrian friendly.

They have done a shite load over the last several years.

just don't see the difference any more. i live out of state. i enjoy the games. traditions come and go. people move on and find a way to love and support the institution that they love.

Dude, if you give money for something, then they don't use it for what you gave it for, it's going to be hard for people to reach in their pockets again.

Or the wild? I'm sure they have tiger oncologists in the wilds of India, right?

Where does that article mention the "LSU Administration" ? Either the OP never read it or has the reading comprehension of a 5-year-old.

Why do you keep posting the same lame response? Many on this thread have already explained this to you.

Of course it doesn't. That's the point. Why would the Advocate decide to print this story? Rebekah Allen is a proven "mouthpiece" for the LSU administration. Can't you see that LSU is "floating" this story in an effort to set things up for a decision to NOT replace Mike VI.

Exactly.

"Jones2Davis" should go to the band and cash his paycheck signed by F King.

If its so hard to get a Tiger, then we better not wait until this Mike dies.

Not saying do it now, but we better be working on our list and lining one up, much like you would a coaching or other search.

GET IT DONE, DON'T LOOK FOR AN EXCUSE NOT TO DO IT.
