Here's the official release...Awful...How do we go from this season's slate to a complete 180...
LSU ADDS TOWSON TO 2012 SCHEDULE; LSU TO HAVE 8 HOME GAMES NEXT YEAR
BATON ROUGE – LSU rounded out its non-conference schedule for 2012 on Wednesday as the Tigers will host Towson University on Sept. 29 in Tiger Stadium.
The Towson contest will be one of eight home games for LSU in 2012. The Tigers will play four non-conference games in Tiger Stadium along with four league games at home. The SEC schedule will be released at a later date.
Towson, located in Towson, Md., is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision and plays in the Colonial Athletic Association. It will be the first meeting between LSU and Towson in football.
The two teams met in basketball in November of 2001 with LSU winning, 83-46, in the Maravich Center.

Our schedule is money next year to make a championship run. @Arkansas for all the west marbles in 2012

Prayers sent to Towson players. How's the ROI looking on the season tix costs for 2012? Seriously, that is awful.

Next years OOC schedule is TERRIBLE. We play NOBODY except Washington. We could have AT THE LEAST scheduled a school someone has heard of.
At least we get 8 homes games!

How do I know stupid shite like this?

Nothing like a marquee out of conference home game.
Jesus.
At least we get Washington in Tiger Stadium next season. Other than that, the current schedules are devoid of any premiere OOC home games.

I won't be watching that game. I would be pissed with that schedule if I had season tickets.

and another $50 per seat for a season ticket for a crappy game.

So the other games are what:
South Carolina
Alabama
MSU
Ole Miss?
That's 5 good games but yeah, the other 3 are basically a total loss with 0 resale value. shite, I don't like to scalp tickets but with kids under 5 sometimes I can't make every game. They should have scheduled and in state team.
This eliminates the "we want a competitive I-AA team argument" and only credit's Condon's racism theory about not scheduling Southern.

I'd like to know the reasoning for this.

I'd rather take on Diesel Driving Academy.

I'm sure this has been said but I'll take this years schedule with 6 home games over that crappy 2012 schedule every time.

I will call them. What's their number again?

Has Towson played anyone of relevance anytime recently? If you're a Towson player, on one hand you're excited you get to be on the field at a premier college football stadium with a premier college football team, but on the other hand, "holy #%%#^% we have to play in a premier college football stadium against a premier college football team."
Posted on 8/3/11 at 1:16 pm to Ghostfacedistiller
It really doesn't make sense. LSU fans won't buy single game tickets for this and I doubt Towson will travel well. When you schedule in state teams at least they travel well. Most of the smaller schools want a chance to see their team play in TS and tailgate at LSU.

Only reason I know about this school is because of Jermon Bushrod.
