Apparently people think that if you talk about it enough on the internet it will be true. It's like people always trying to make up stupid nicknames for players.

There was a thread a while back on the rant trying to figure out what the nickname for the new offense should be. I mean, they haven't even taken a snap yet.

I'm still voting no.

We've played them more times than we've played Auburn.

We've played Rice more times than Auburn, too.

Actually, the LSU v. ATM game was a pretty big rivalry prior to the late 90's. Younger generations probably won't remember the history between the teams, but I'm looking forward to this series being renewed.

Not good at math are we? Try again remember we've played football through the 2012(since we haven't played this year yet)-1899= 113 years.

I remember the LSU-A&M rivalry very well from the late 80s through '95 and I'm looking forward to this being a rivalry game.

I'm just pointing out that "We've played them more than Auburn" isn't really a selling point given that we've played a number of former SWC teams in Rice, A&M, and Arkansas more than some charter SEC teams like Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee.
