why don't you edit the title of this thread and change it to

"The Gulf War: LSU v TAMU"

Honestly, it is a good title, but it would be a better one if LSU was in Grand Isle or something. A better name would've been Battle for the Ag.

does this game really need a name?! LSU vs. Bama is a huge rivalry currently and that one doesn't have a name. LSU vs. Ole Miss had a named forced on it and it doesn't feel right.

games don't need names. let them just be great games and let us enjoy them.

Sounds catchy.

Pet peeve... Frac is not spelled with a k on the end. Bad journalists and ignorant environmentalists spell it this way. Frac is shortened from hydraulic fracture.

"Cats and Dogs"
"Cadets & Cannons"

Remember the good ole days when time and tradition dictated these things?

Now teams like the carolina panthers, on day one of their organization, came out with the cheers and their cheesy old-style song 'stand and cheer for the panthers' that THEY wanted their fans to sing as if it had been there for years and that they are just carrying on some old style college football tradition. Like the over used Battle for the Boot. No one really cares about arky or ole miss(sad but true....we need competition) or msu. Bama and auburn still get LSU's juices flowing. And that's all you need, not a name for the game.....we will still show up.

Usually the fans and in many cases, the bands, are more creative than the owner and his outdated, overreacching marketers.

Since aTm joined last year and starting only NOW; let's give it some time. Let the most important thing -the actual play on the field - matter for now.

To the OP, good question, but can we wait for a while?

This. Clean Old Fashioned Hate was built on something long before it got a name - and believe me, it earned that moniker. Now, if we could just stop allowing such a lopsided streak to continue ...
