Starting lineup from this point forward should be Cook, Ward, Wright, Fountain, Dean.

Baker is too slow paced, doesn’t screen, and is a black hole on offense. And I don’t know why McMahon loves reed so much. He’s shown flashes but isn’t anywhere near his potential.

You really have to start Baker but be ready with a quick hook. With Baker it is all about the matchups, feast or famine.

I think Reed will benefit by playing with Cook as the season goes on.

Starting 5 scored 37 of the 85 points. Wright had 33 of those. Lost this game before it started.

So far yeah but I don’t think Carlos has been put in a position to succeed tbh

Had plenty of chances and been ice cold the last 6 games.

He’s a 6’1’’ on ball scorer asked to be an off ball player

No, you don’t he’s too slow in his rotations, he’s a slow roller, he can’t make the right pass, and if he’s not making his free throws he should never see the floor.

That’s quite a leap and a straw man if I’ve ever seen one.

You can still be a short shooting guard and an on ball scorer. I said nothing about him being a point guard.

I usually like your takes but that’s absurd coming from you

Baker is charmin soft and Dean is at best a sunbelt level player.

I mean I was asking a question and made an assumption based off what you said. A ball dominant shooting guard that’s undersized, so you’re saying like Andre Stringer? Stewart can’t create off the dribble at this level so that’s why I am a little shocked myself you would say that about him.

This team is starting to find their identity, as is McMahon. You really cant go into a season with new players yet again and base your rotations off of playing against yourself in practice. That’s why I don’t understand some on here bitching about them all the time. Carlos Stewart and Will Baker both have been fading into obscurity the past few weeks as well as Reed in a sense. You did have your best player who as we saw today opened up the entire floor for Wright and the pick and roll game. He even surprised me with snatching some rebounds. We had 13 offensive rebounds, shot 44% from 3 and managed to have only 13 turnovers after 9 in the first half.

If anyone comes out of this game upset with the coach or the players, you are just flat out not an LSU fan, you are a Will Wade fan. We had many calls not go our way and it came down to free throws, which we have to get better at. If you step back and look at this team after the last 3 games and you think that somehow we will “struggle” in a weaker SEC Conference this year, you are highly confused. We will win a lot more games than you think. I told everyone how this team was starting to find themselves after the KState loss. The results aren’t showing it yet, but this team can play.

Whoever said Texas isn’t good, please tell me why? They also have many new pieces and look to be putting it together. They shot 50% from 3 and like 56% from the field, made a ton of contested shots. They also have one of the best backcourts in the country with Abmas and Hunter and Disu just came back from getting hurt last year, he had 17 and 4, so enlighten me as to why they are not that good this early in the year? Struggling to figure things out happens a lot in basketball, you’re not going to have a well oiled machine from jump with a whole new cast. The coach is also not going to have rotations to perfection either because players are responding differently in game situations than practice.

Be patient, we are going to be very competitive this year. If we would’ve had a few calls go our way in this one, we would’ve brought it down to the wire.

He likes operating at the top of the arc but where Baker sits on offense invites the nail help so he’s been forced to catch and shoot from the wing or go from the baseline. That’s not his game; watch his SC highlights. I believe in him.

I hate to say it but if he requires that much to be productive, he doesn’t belong as a Guard in the SEC. I hope I’m wrong but if you’re undersized and you need to operate from just 1 spot on the floor, it’s probably the reason he’s not playing.

I went to the game and thought we played pretty well against a very good opponent.

Cook made a huge difference and immediately straightens out our PG problems, but Baker seems to be completely out of whack the past couple of games. If memory serves, he barely scored today.

This is going to be a long year.

LSU Basketball bridges the gap for me between Saints Football and Astros Baseball.
It’s going to be a rough January and February.

I bet the money line on UT yesterday. I risked $315 to win $100.

I’ll be doing a lot of that when conference play starts on Jan 6 against Texas A&M.

Decent effort. LSU needs 1 Naz Reid type player to start winning.
