Anyone remember when Trent Johnson used to wear polo shirts?

Haha. Maten’s First foul with 1:15!left in the game. He picked up his only foul in the first game with 3:00 left if I’m not mistaken.

Mays has been solid after that series of games with all the charges and missed layups. We haven’t gotten much from reath lately. Epps plays well at home but doesn’t show up on the road. Onwuasor is non existent. Edwards has been average. Sampson is a lost cause. Sims has had a few nice games but just not consistently good.

We should've started fouling them with 5 minutes left, and stopped throwing up so many 3s.

We’ve lost 2 games to Georgia and the difference has been the last 3 minutes of the half this game and the forst 3 minutes of the second half of both games.

That run at the ending of the first half that carried onto the second is what did us in

End of first half didn't help either.

Georgia is a pretty good team. They are more talented and more physical than LSU, IMHO. I don't know why they haven't played better.

Yep, with about 5-1/2 minutes left in the first half it was tied. In those last 5-1/2 minutes of the first half and first 2-1/2 minutes of the second half we were outscored by 22 points.

For the other 32 minutes of the game we outscored Georgia 76-65. Can't have an 8-minute meltdown like that and expect to compete. We played no defense whatsoever in that stretch, just terrible.

On paper these 3 games are/we’re winnable but truth be told they’re pretty bad matchup. All 3 are tough, physical, defensively oriented teams. Not really our cup of tea.

Agreed, at SC we have no answer for Silva, but at the other positions we can compete I think. Can we overcome the disparity down low by playing well in the areas where we can compete? We'll see, we did not yesterday.

WW said after the game yesterday SC out-toughed the Georgia team that just manhandled us yesterday he hinted we might try something different....go smaller and try to spread them out and try to create an advantage that way.

Worth a try IMHO. Epps and Reath are tall but soft. Sims and Rachal at least allow us to switch more defensively to be quite honest can probably board as well as the former two. Rachal gave us some good minutes yesterday...7 points in 13 minutes. Why not?

That 4 guard + Sims lineup gave Vandy fits. We went bigger and they crawled back into the game. Definitely don’t mind mixing it up. Gonna be a game we’ll have to make shots in order to offset those plays SC will inevitably out-tough us on.
