Can't wait for another game of extreme inconsistency on that side of the plate for the ump. 2 pitches to Gavin looked like clear strikes, weren't. Then further outside to Crews, strike. Beloso gotta make contact if it's that close.

Somebody tell me what the frick are we doing at the plate? We aren't attacking pitches anymore. Not trying to be aggressive. Watching a ton of very close 0-2 and 1-2 pitches, and eventually striking out. That's not who we have been all year but that's what we did last night too.

White and Crews look off idk why Crews usually never misses on fastballs on outside corner and he’s not even swinging and has gotten behind 0-2 4 out of his 7 AB

Noticed this the last 2 years with Jay Johnson. Offensive approach he coaches is very similar to Paul Manieri. These players watch too many strikes looking for perfect pitches.

USC pitching has been really good so far. Pounding the inside corner vs our lefties hanging over the plate.

I’m stunned by how many very close pitches we’ve taken both yesterday and so far today. Very weird stuff.

Not 93 on the inside black. That was just a great pitch. You can say he should have hit a previous pitch, but he wasn’t doing anything with that last one except tipping his cap and turning back to the dugout.
