You can have all the talent in the world but when you don’t have attention to detail this is what you get. It’s the little things in tight conference games like this.

And that was a microcosm of the season.
As I tell my kids and the players I coach do the little things right and it will work out.
This team does none of the little things right
It has potential, but it is fundamentally unsound.
Take the lack of hitting out of play.
Just the little things like a good throw to 2nd base
Or blocking a ball
We out hit them, had less errors and for a wholestaff game they were not bad. Bad teams find a way to give away a win.

Vandy is about to get run ruled at home. Has nothing to do with us, but I find joy in knowing the whistler is not having a good night. Petty yes, but this is what I’ve been reduced to this year.

Tough extra innings loss but I saw a lot of Fight in them Tigers and I like to see that.

I'm not sure there's a lack of leadership, but there's been a lack of executing fundamental baseball plays. Who ever heard of starting a double play without having a foot on the bag at second? And tonight makes three games in a row that a strikeout victim reaches first base on a passed ball or a wild pitch. That must be some kind of record
