I’m watching us closely against this 1-2-2 zone. How sad is it that we have to run dribble hand off at the top of the key just to reemphasize that we can’t be stagnant? It wastes time. Because all of the other possessions we’re just throwing around the peremeter, faking shots and not shooting or missing contested shots at the shot clock buzzer. We have no one that can hit a free throw line jumper. Instead of putting Reid or days there at the free throw line put Mays there and let him turn around and hit a free throw.

Everything is going to the rim in this half. We’ll get layups and FTs. Make them, we win.

Reid needs to play more aggressive when he gets the ball at the elbow or in the paint.

I miss the days of LSU BBall where they used to go on runs and blow out people

We could have blown out this team early as the team and crowd seemed disinterested, but then Taylor had that brainless foul and gave them some life and we proceeded to suck for the rest of the half even worse than them. The many consecutive missed free throws is a real head-scratcher for this team.

Wade needs to light into his team today like he was lighting into the refs (with no good reason to) on the Taylor elbow call.

I agree Naz is not great in the high post bc he won’t square up the rim. I like the idea of putting Mays there if we can get him the ball, Naz is not aggressive enough and just passes it right back out immediately

So we were up 7-0.

Then at about the 10 minute mark we were up by 10 points. Sooo, Taylor didn’t change the last 10 minutes. We just flat out sucked and went scoreless for almost 7 minutes. We bricked every free throw in that time frame.

We play close against everyone. Last team we just beat down was Ole Miss.

Reids game is not as a true post up guy. Many of his points come on putback baskets and trail plays. Rarely has he been truly effective outside once or twice this season at feeding the ball to him and him being our go to option. Williams seems capable down low until we play teams with length and size. Days had a short fg chance and threw up an air ball. Bigby-Williams can hit shots but he can rarely get in position to do so.

I'm well aware of that, but the place and Bama players were lifeless until that point. After that things got chippy and the Bama players and crowd got some fight in them. I agree with you that we sucked though.
