5 points in the last 6 minutes won't get it done.

Maybe just stay on the court through halftime so by the time the 2nd half starts we’re ready.

I’m convinced every team in LA eats Popeyes at half time and those biscuits are killer.

Really good first half defense.

Our D was good overall. Sloppy passing and no mid-range game did us in. Duop was real quiet and Mays was non-existent on offense. Sampson only had 8 shots, but scored 17. Waters took 15 shots and was cold for most of the game, but he'll usually hit a lot of shots. I'm surprised it was as close as it was.

I hate being a cure for struggling teams. 3 losses in a row for Florida and we practically gift wrap about 10 of those turnovers for absolutely no damn reason to give them the win. We also proved that Florida can win without reaching 8 3s. If anyone was gonna suffer the loss for that to happen it was going to be us.

Proud the team came back after getting down but we folded like a cheap suit the last 5 minutes.

This team just isnt there yet. Can't making winning plays. Doesn't make it less frustrating but when your team leader is a freshman this is what happens.

Also overall the whole team played like shite. Way to many turnovers. Regardless saturday is a winnable game we should take.

Thanks for the game thread and the little headlines in the thread title during the game.

Our defensive fundamentals are atrocious. We are a very reactive defensive team. We let the offense dictate everything. We jump at every shot fake. We aren’t very adept at stopping dribble penetration.

But the worst part is the low post defense. We are absolutely terrible down low defensively. Rarely will you see Epps, Reath or Sims take a charge even when it’s there for the taking. Instead, they want to stand under the basket and halfassedly get in the way which OFTEN results not only in a foul but a made basket.

That weakness and a turnover fest from the perimeter players (particularly Waters) tonight spelled doom.

I know the defense and the turnovers in the 2nd half killed us but I am proud of the way they fought, next year with all the players we got coming in it should be a hell of a ride next year.

I don't understand why Will doesn't tell Waters and Mays not to try to dribble through a crowd of defenders. They just keep doing it every game and it is frustrating. Most of the turnovers are because of this. I understand driving to the basket but you just can't dribble through 2 or 3 defenders.

Don't tell that to Waters two months ago...

Effort was there. The first half defense was good. Second half...not so much. LSU just isn't a good enough team to win games where they shoot themselves in the foot. They have NO CHANCE when it's their best player who is most responsible for that and has a horrible offensive game to go along with it.

I was there and effort was good, but with limited talent you have to be on fire to win these types of games.

Still say NIT is our goal this season as it was from the start; 8-9 conf wins would be remarkable over last season

Future is bright

I thought they played hard and fought for a win on the road.
