I’m thinking more into the 90 range now
If we make it to the big dance, I agree we will get 100

22 in 7 games is a tall order
It is. We are averaging about 1.6 (1.592) per game, so that equates to 11 or maybe 12 in the remaining games, unless we go bonkers as we did in Tennessee (we hit 11 in 3 games).
In SEC play, we are also about 1.6 (1.625), so about 10 in those 6. We are actually hitting them at a higher clip in SEC play than in out-of-conference play.
Home runs tend to come in bunches for this team, though, so maybe we can get there.

Hoping Patrick or ruckert get a homer soon
Posted on 5/4/26 at 11:22 am to AlecRock23
If Ruckert could sit back a bit, he'd have 3-4
I swear he pulls a long one foul every game

He would probably have 3 or 4 playing in Georgia's park. Maybe he can pick a few up this weekend.
ETA: he being the left-handed Ruckert

Patrick will hit one on Tuesday vs Tulane

2023 was a dangerous lineup, obviously. HR could come from any spot in the lineup. 8 guys with double digits.

That was crazy. And Tre had 9, 1 shy of having 9 guys with double digits. 6 guys with 14 or more, 4 with 16 or more.

125 doubles, 18 triples.
We have 7 triples this season, Tre and Josh Pearson alone had 7 in 2023.
6 guys hitting .300 or more with qualifying at bats plus Travinski just under the threshold. The team batting average was .308
We were also hit by pitches and walked a lot more. 143 HBP that season compared to 70 this season. 413 walks compared to .261 this season.
We are better at stealing bases this season, though, and strike out less and hit into double plays less, believe it or not
2023 was a magnificent team

we don't have nearly as many opportunities to hit into DPs than we did in 2023. When your team OBP is .432, you're probably going to hit into more DPs than a team with an OBP of .399. And if you really get into the weeds with DPs, we've hit into 27 in 49 games this year (0.55/gm), and we hit into 43 in 71 games in 2023 (0.61/gm). I don't have available to me advanced data to show how many actual chances we've had to hit into DPs in 2023 and 2025, but regardless the difference is negligible.
As for Ks, we've struck out 382 times in 1972 PAs this year (19.3%). In 2023, we struck out 583 times in 2968 PAs (19.6%), so while technically correct, the difference is, again, pretty negligible.
