This draft class has become one of the best I’ve ever seen at LSU. Most of the recruits are between 86-107 in the rankings while a few are top 30

Not sure who makes it to campus but we have a chance to build a sick team for years to come with this class. Who do you all think gets to campus?

Toman and Snelling are now popping in the first round of several mock drafts. Crawford has always showed up as a first rounder. Sign-ability likely plays a big part in mock drafts this late in the game. I would chalk those three up as not making it to campus.

I have a friend that went pro out of high school and he said it’s not worth missing college for under a million $. Now that college baseball is more competitive and you can travel and live first class vs riding buses around the minor leagues and eating cheap.

If these guys think the same way and with the NIL potential, I would think a lot more of these guys will start to show up on campus.

And a specific thread.

Pages 29-33 have positional breakdowns with estimates on what to expect. I have to look at them again, especially the LHPs, but they’re probably still generally accurate.

If we can keep Romero, Neal and just 2 of the top 100 pitchers—- this team would be a tile favorite next year.

Project, what are the chances for the catchers? McManus is costing us extra outs and runs every game. Hard to believe that beyond Millazzo, the other two catchers are so poor.

The only draft eligible true sophomores are Floyd, Berry, and Safford. Everyone else listed as a redshirt sophomore or above is eligible. Everyone listed as a true soph or below isn’t.

Depending on how they’re listed on the roster I guess. 2 years in college, not eligible except for the three mentioned above. 3 years in college, eligible.

Look in the recruiting thread on page 30 I believe for my full thoughts, the only change since then is I think we are more likely to get Jones than I thought at the time I wrote that.

Applebey and Ackenhausen are pretty much locks. Siravo has gotten some buzz but prob a lock. Misiriowski has gotten a lot of buzz so he’s a risk.

I think we’ll look at juco/portal for 2-3 more guys. Catcher, infield, and pitching. We’re loaded in the outfield.

My thoughts are
30% Shores
20% Crawford
20% Romero

School.

I don’t think Misiorowski gets to campus. I’d say 5-10% on him.

It’s funny, I point people to exactly where all of this kind of info is in the recruiting thread, because they normally bitch about not wanting to dig through the recruiting thread, and get nothing but downvotes.

frick me for trying to help I guess.
