LSU 2020 Football Depth Chart Preview [2 Images]

Here is my best attempt at a working Depth Chart. Much remains unclear. For example, will Bo Pelini move a Safety down to Will? Will former 3-4 DEs play SDE or will they look for a different body type?
Notes:
• The freshmen jersey numbers are unofficial. I used the numbers the players chose to wear for pictures during their official visits.
• Purple rectangles are for interchangeable package positions that probably won't be on the field at the same time.
• I did not try to predict whether a true freshman would become a starter or not.
• The number out to the right of each of the true freshmen is the industry generated composite rating from 247sports.
• The white Pencil and Pad icon indicates an early enrollee.

Absolutely loaded again. And the talented young depth everywhere should pay dividends for years to come.
On offense, I'll be paying particular attention to LT and C. Obviously, QB is the primary focus, though. I don't have any concerns with the offensive line overall. RB, WR, and TE are way above average from the top to the bottom.
On defense, edge and LB will be interesting to watch. Interior defensive line should be a big strength. The secondary will be really good, no matter who slots in where.

Todd Harris is going to have to beat out Kary Vincent for the FS spot. Vincent had a pretty darn good yr with 4 INTs. He is not coming off the field much for packages...

I liked what I saw from Hampton at safety late in the season.

Arik Gilbert will be starting TE

Yeah I'd rather see Hampton and Vincent at safety with Stevans down in the box

Stevens is moving to LB and start before Micah. Todd Harris and MH will be the safeties with KV at nickel. Look for Devonta Lee to move to LB also. With these RPO offenses BP's D will be more of a 4-2-5.

Yeah, I can see Pelini using Stevens similar to how he utilized Harry Coleman.

I see Neil Farrell starting

I can’t speak to this accuracy but I do know that our running back core is going to shock some people. Especially coming off a Burrow lead offense

Couple thoughts:
- I think Fonua’s a DE, probably a WDE
- I like Farrell at SDE, probably starting
- I’d really like to see Jarrell Cherry develop and be a starter, but uhhhh..... we haven’t seen anything from him yet.

May kick out to the 6 technique. I also think Roy has a big shot at doing the same and starting.
I don’t know that we have any true sec caliber ends for the 4-3

Jeez that’s a lot of DL , I wonder how deep the rotation will be with this “attacking “ front 4

I agree but I believe he may fit into the SS spot but he will also be hard to keep off the field.

Curry will not be starting over those two.
