The second batter reached 2 feet in front of the plate and poked the ball into the gap.
There are certain things, like that, that you cannot do anything about. The pitches were executed well.

First double was a jam shot dude was late on
Second one dude was way out in front but poked his bat at it. Good pitches by Rizy just horrendous luck

I get this, but saying the pitch beat them can't be correct if the result is a double. Both were well executed pitches, but the hitters beat them.
