You cannot leave a loss to 4-4 UCF out of this discussion. They aren’t OSU.

The fact is this will be one of the more thought about rankings ever. This will set the stage for how the future rankings will be. How much does SoS matter? They can’t just change that over time. It has to be set. I think they will show BYU no love.

I know it work itself out, but the fact that LSU is ranked behind OSU is crazy.

LSU has the one true “play in” spot. They play 3 ranked teams coming up. Putting lsu 12-14 makes most sense right now.
They also have 0 bad losses.

Nah. We have the same record and they have a win over Indiana. And just to be clear, this is a projection of the rankings, not the actual rankings. I wouldn’t be shocked if we are ahead of Ohio State. I don’t think injuries should be a factor at all personally, but the committee did set the precedent that they do when they left out undefeated Florida State after their QB went down. It’s pretty clear Ohio State is much worse without Sayin.
Again, I don’t think they should take that into account, but I’m not on the committee, so it will be interesting to see what they do with them.

The rankings have a tenuous relationship to how the teams would fare head to head.

Also a 3 loss Bama team finished ahead of Big 12 runner up 2 loss BYU last season as a reminder.
