their ace is 5-0 with a .50 era coming into this game. But sure, overreact.

no I am not. I have been critical of his high pitch counts, but not when he is giving up minor few runs.

They score zero and we get the win on Friday I am ok.

legitimate concern. We swing at way too many pitches just because they’re in the zone. Not every strike is worth swinging at.

Well he does have 9 rbis in 23 games so I don’t think I missed much

I thought weve won 4 in a row with an sec sweep on the road?
Didn't we hit in a couple of those games, like big time?

I tend to agree with this to a degree. I think it's imortant to point out that he's literally pitched against nobody this year.

absolutely. Only difference is those games weren’t being played against a pitcher of Hancock’s quality.

You have to excuse the casual baseball fans that only really tune in to a game or two every now and then.

sure and we had a couple walks and a couple hits the first time through the lineup. We’re not going to put up 5 runs in every inning.

ETA: one hit. Watson drilled a ball straight at the third baseman.

he has 14 hits for the season and he has reached on a walk or hit by pitch 13 times. So yes your theory would work. Especially since you can’t hit into double play on a strike out

Kinda late but does anyone know why Garza isn’t behind the plate tonight?

Of course not. I'm just saying this guy is untested and we have a good team. I expect us to be able to hit him a little bit tonight.

Because he’s still being worked back in. He looked rusty on Wednesday. Let a couple balls drop that he shouldn’t have.
